My boyfriend ordered us two smothered burritos and they came with no meat and a whole lot of beans. We ordered this Monday May 19 at 5:30 pm. So I can only guess we got someone's vegetarian order, it doesn't make sense they forget the beans on both of our burritos when it clearly says our option of protein. Was around Little Italy on a day when just about everything around seemed closed as it was a day after New Years Day. Was starving from a long trip from home and had seen this restaurant so many times and thought of visiting it.
The staff were amazing and very accommodating. Made sure our needs were met and were so cheerful and easy to deal with.
Ordered a small veggie burrito, a small and a large veggie quesadilla and a burrito salad.
First the Quesadillas-the stuffing everything you want and tons of it packed. So much that one can't list to eat. Cheese and lots of it. The toppings all fresh except the three salsa's. They seemed not store made. All else seemed like it was made right there.
The burrito same. Filled to the brim and grilled perfectly. Didn't skimp on Guacamole.
The burrito salad was again amazing, toms of beans, rice, tomatoes, guacamole, salsa and all other fixings. Both the burrito and salad were made vegan and the lady put the toppings extra as there was no cheese or sour cream. Well made.
If they do the same on every visit the place is go for burrito in Ottawa.

One of best mexican food in the town, their dips on the side made the quesadilla an amazing experience. Ask for extra spicy sauce and enjoy. Guacamole wasnt that great tho. A must try if you are in ottawa. They have Halal options too if you are looking for one.

This is a good place to go for a mammoth-sized burrito with a wide variety of fillings. My go-to is always the chicken. The staff is pretty listless and unresponsive, but i've always found their portions of ingredients to be generous. You do have to pay extra for Guacamole, the scourge of any burrito connoisseur, but they lay the guac on relatively thick. Price with the guac is a little higher than some places but you're getting like 40% more food for those dollars, so i'd say it's worth it. The decor is pretty fun, with various Mexico-Western movie posters adorning the walls. The location is nondescript in a little strip mall right by the queensway, so you're not going there for a the neighborhood charm.

The quesdillas are amazing can't post a pic cuz I ate it all fast 🤗🤗 the guacamole isn't too spicy and the sour cream is so good and not overly milk tasting. I've had this twice this week because it was so good 😂 my husband loves the burritos as well gives 10 out of 10! Whoever is working give them a raise 👏

Got in late from a flight and missed the highway entrance so decided to stop here for dinner. We were thinking it was a restaurant but it’s more of a Chipotle setup.
The food was good. I would say it does taste kinda like Chipotle but has more bold flavor. A lot of their seasoning like on the Steak bowl had more of that cumin taste to it. Over it was fine. Got a side of chicken for my toddler and he was eating it up. Chipotle chicken sometimes has too much spice.
I will say tho, they load their bowls and burritos up. It’s like they’re in steroids lol. It was so BIG!!! Which is great for how much you spend on these things. The staff were sweet and just super nice to my toddler. Would definitely come again visiting Ottawa.

We somewhat frequently (once every couple of weeks) will swing by our Burrito Gringo location on Bronson and order a large burrito for my son and myself. The staff is always friendly and very attentive to how we like our burrito. Each time, it's large, filling and delicious but last night was absolutely the best ever and I thought it was about time that I shared my appreciation by posting a review. Thanks Burrito Gringo, please don't change a thing!
