This place quickly became one of my favorite stops in the market. The pastries were fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with care. Pairing them with a great cup of coffee made for the perfect break in my day.
What stood out even more was the service. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and everything moved very quickly without feeling rushed. It’s rare to find a spot that delivers both quality and speed, but this place does it perfectly.
Whether you’re grabbing something on the go or sitting down to enjoy a coffee and pastry, this spit is a great choice. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area and I suggest you check it out!

Completely rude older lady who spoke broken English serve me. I specifically stated I wanted an Iced Cappucino. The lady made an Iced Coffee. I said I ordered an Iced Cappuccino, no apology she was completely rude about it she said Mamn you said “Iced coffee”. My husband was there with me , he heard me say Iced CAPPUCCINO. Ok, she misheard me but she was so rude did not offer to correct it proceeded to blame ME saying I said Iced Coffee - no I didn’t! You think I would order from a place who calls me a liar ? There’s better ways to handle this and not be completely rude. Tell this older lady to fix her customer service because that interaction ruined my day. I just left without paying and did not take the drink. Horrible service NO ONE COME HERE.

Visited during a weekend trip to Ottawa’s ByWard Market—this café is an ideal mid-market pause. Inside, there’s a small bench seating area with well-worn but comfortable cushions, plus sturdy armless chairs both indoors and on the patio (comfortable for a range of body types). The patio has a great view of the market square, perfect for people-watching. Conveniently located inside the main market building with accessible washrooms nearby. A relaxed, welcoming stop with friendly service and good coffee—highly recommended if you’re exploring ByWard Market.

This is one the few places open early for breakfast. I usually ride here from South Keys in the early morning. Despite me not eating much because of the ride back, they are friendly and accommodated my request for a special preparation of their mangoe smoothie. Which was delicious! They're in the middle of the action in the Byward Market, so a good place to people watch. They have a roomy terrace with a rail along it, so it's perfect for securing up bikes. The owners personally serve clients and they're very friendly.
