It's been twice that I show up during scheduled opening hours but no staff is there. I tried calling twice but no answer. Opening hours are to be respected or modify them to reflect reality.

the pupusas are not very authentic and the curtido looked very old plus it was extremely spicy which isn't at all typical for real salvadorian cuisine. ordered a flan for dessert and it was very stale. everything was overall too expensive for such a low quality of food that i usually love very dearly. I'll keep making pupusas at home myself instead of wasting my money here

Very friendly and fast service. I got frijol y queso pupusas, tamal de pollo, y chorizo con casamiento. Although this was my first time trying El Salvadoran food, everything was delicious. I am definitely going to return and try the sopa de siete mares.

I wish food was more affordable last time I went even the pupusas are smaller and are $5 each very ridiculous 🙄

I love La Cabaña!
I've tried everything vegetarian on the menu, and my favourite combination is a DIY platter of one pupusa (either the Queso Con Loroco or Frijol Y Queso), a side of Frijoles Refritos, an appetizer of Platanos Fritos, and a huge helping of the Curtido on top of the pupusa 👌
The staff is friendly and graciously tolerates my broken Spanish when I order (muchas gracias).
The food is fantastic and made with love. You must get a horchata or a tamarindo to drink as well.

The food is great! But the service is unfortunately awful. When they are supposed to be open no one answers the phone and they are closed. With no notice on the website. Very small place with limited seating. Super unfortunate.

Simply the best pupusas I’ve ever had. A true hidden gem in Ottawa.

We came here on Easter Sunday for lunch before we went to the Diefenbunker. We were greeted by a lovely lady who handed us some menus and seated us. I noticed how clean it was in there which is always a tremendous first impression.
We opted for the cheese papusas, plantains, beans and sour cream. And WOW, we were ever impressed. The food was so delicious and flavourful.
This ended up being our favourite restaurant in Ottawa over the 3 days we stayed there. The service, food and atmosphere were all fantastic.
We'll be back next time we're in Ottawa.

It was my first time trying the food here and it did not disappoint! Everything was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming and the service was quick and friendly. I will definitely go back to try other menu options.
