the drinks were excellent! i ordered the champurrado, which was light, flavourful and delicious. we also tried the fondue and dubai chocolate strawberry cups.
the fondue chocolate was delicious! not too heavy and paired well with the fruits, brownies and waffles. i’d recommend sharing the single as the portions are pretty good. the dubai chocolate strawberries were very yummy and were great leftovers the next day. tastes even better with some time! the chocolate in each dish was good quality.

I used to love this place because it was Cacao 70. My last visit wasn’t the best which I attributed to them training a new staff member, but when I came back two days ago to find Beans N Barrels, I was appalled by the experience.
I want to start by saying my server was VERY kind and pleasant. But she was the ONLY good thing about the experience.
The place should have closed and re-opened when they were ready but I don’t have faith even if they do. The tables have been covered hastily and poorly with hard plastic that has air bubbles all over it. The wall had a drawing of a bean sitting on a barrel that hadn’t been finished yet, just scribbled on, and there was NO MUSIC playing, so it was DEAD SILENT aside from some videos the waitress was watching on her phone behind the counter (I have no issue with her watching them, but it’s just awkward when I can hear it due to the lack of music!)
My friend and I were the only ones in there which usually means more attention and care will be put into our order but this is the FIRST time in my life I have ever refused to pay for something.
Our Caesar salad tasted sour and bitter at the same time, the croutons crumbling in our mouths due to most likely being from a cheap bag. The dressing was drizzled all over before we mixed it and definitely not made in house. It tasted like a -1/10.
The drinks were horrible! My friend ordered an iced latte and even from the colour you can tell it would be bad! It tasted like milky water, and my macchiato was not made properly, with watery espresso topped with foam.
I apologized to the waitress and said everything was bad, and she said she was following the recipes and apologized as well. I said I just wanted to leave and I’ll pay for the drinks but I refused to pay for the salad. She went to talk to the manager and came back saying we could just leave and didn’t have to pay for anything so we did, but left her a $5 bill for a tip.
I don’t think we’ll ever be back.

This place changed, and not in a good way. Do not go, you’ll probably get sick.
Presentation of the food was pretty nice. However, the crepe I had was hard and not easy to cut into. The restaurant had no other diners except us. The service was ok but the server seemed shocked we were in there. I came here because I was told it was amazing and I left very disappointed in the quality of the food and the atmosphere.

We went in February to order a hot chocolate, it was burning as hell. I’ve been a barista at Starbucks before and I could tell how extremely hot that was, the taste was off and the chocolate no where to found. Also they’re re-using the same steam milk and just adding cold milk in the same pitcher without rinsing it… Never again

Not sure what happened to this location, but it is not what it used to be. They halved the floor plan and the furniture is worn out. The atmosphere is far from cozy or trendy.
Our Champurrado hot chocolates were very good, though.
