I saw this place while passing and was hungry. Decided to try it out.
Parking was easy and convenient right in front of the business.
The venue was clean and tidy. Based on previous posts there was no smell or any filth.
The guy who helped me was very helpful, professional and welcoming. I had no idea what to get and he was very informative with the options. Had a great smile all through. So 5 stars for that experience.
The bagel was greattttttt. I had a smoked salmon with the creame cheese and olives and some little green things lol I can’t remember the name. Everything was just a great mix of flavour. I had the same for my dad. We had chips and a canned drink. 5 stars for that also. It is very filling. My dad devoured his i could only do half of mine.
I would definitely come back once I’m in the area.

The place wasn't very clean. Not a customer in the place and every table was dirty while the cashier was sitting at a table staring out the window when I walked in. Geez, pick up a clean soapy cloth and give the tables a wipe instead of day-dreaming. I won't be back. I ordered a breakfast bagel and a coffee. Bagel was okay, but the coffee was terrible. Not fresh and tasted burnt.

I haven't had a bagel in a very long time, like years. I was driving by and stopped for a breakfast bagel. It was $6.77 tax included, which is an amazing price nowadays. The service was very friendly, the bagel was unbelievable. When she handed it to me, I thought it was a hamburger it was so thick. Bagel was excellent just on it's own. I couldn't have had a better experience, as brief as it was. I was hoping to leave a tip but the interac didn't prompt it. It seems they don't feel they are owed a tip just for existing, unlike EVERY coffee shop nowadays.
Side note: there's a review on here of a guy saying he paid $26 for a bagel and juice. Really??? C'mon man, that's just false...
I highly recommend this place based on my experience.

I used to pass by this place all the time, but today we finally decided to go in — and I was pleasantly surprised! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely staff. The hospitality and service were truly outstanding. It’s definitely a place worth visiting and enjoying the beautiful ambiance and excellent vibes. I’m giving them a full five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I don't write negative reviews, but this is an exception... When we entered, the staff were sitting around the seating area. The menu was out of date and barely legible. The cooler, baked goods, and bagels were stale and gross looking. After ordering we sat down in the seating area, the staff were still sitting on their phones, every single table and every single seat was filthy, so I cleaned off a table and chairs to use. The food came out, it was warm, but again the bagels weren't Montreal style and they were stale. My partner's sandwich maybe had 1 slice of Turkey deli meat, and the pickle spears were mushy, brown and disfigured - particularly bad looking.
This is one of the worst meals I've ever had. The staff need direction and leadership, standards should be put in place. Save your money and go to Kettleman's.

Cadman's is an Ottawa bagel institution, and I'm so glad my friend recommended it. Despite its slightly worn exterior, the food inside is absolutely delicious! The BLT on a sesame bagel is a dream come true. Prices are very fair, and the staff are friendly. I was so impressed that I ended up buying two more to go! If you're a bagel lover like me, you won't want to miss this spot.

I enjoy Montreal-style bagels and this is where I've been usually buying mine in Ottawa for the last few years. Unfortunately today was my last visit. I'll be shopping elsewhere moving forward. Not because of the quality of the product but due to customer service.
If I can pass along some constructive criticism to the current management -- disrespect the customer and you lose their business. If you persist in trying to manipulate the customer by forcing them to take something they don't want, you also earn a negative review on social media.

Stopped by this location for the first time in years and was surprised to see it completely empty. Ordered a Nanaimo bar and it was absolutely rancid. It didn’t just taste old or stale it was definitely spoiled. I’ve never tasted anything like it to be honest. Won’t be returning.
