A great coffee shop in Ottawa. Offers 49th Parallel coffee which is a personal favourite. Cafe Delice is also known for its Leonidas Chocolates, a preferred premium chocolate. Leonidas isa Warrant Holder of the Court of Belgium, which is a special distinction. This is a locally owned business run by a hard-working family that is dedicated to their community. The service is excellent, and the coffee and assortment of baked goods are always fresh and of high quality. Keep up the great work!

I was excited to try this new place near office after my coworker praised their cardamom coffee. But Service was really bad. The girl was rude and didn’t seem to care at all. I asked if I could have oat milk and enquired what brand they carried and she rolled her eyes. After she made the coffee, she just left it in the counter, turned her face and walked away. She didn’t even give me a hot beverage sleeve when I specifically told her it’s a “to-go” order. And the payment machine doesn’t have a ‘no tip’ option either. She didn’t even give me my receipt. I used to work at the service industry and I think you have to give receipts to customers. Lol. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I felt like I was forced to tip her for that mediocre service that I received and paid $6.90 for a ‘regular’ sized coffee. Lol. Not going back there again. 2 stars coz coffee wasn’t bad.Edit: after the owner’s response I felt like I needed to take my one star down. I am so sorry as I really feel like I want to support local business but this is unimaginably rude. I regularly use cardamom in my daily cooking lol and I wasn’t complaining about the “price” of the coffee that I ordered. I was alluding to the tipping culture that is getting out of control. I hope you provide better training to your staff moving forward with this feedback. Cheers!
