We visited Van Houtte on a chilly afternoon with my sibling and brother-in-law, excited for warm coffee arounnd 3:00 pm. My sibling ordered two hot macchiatos and one salted caramel, but only received one macchiato and one salted caramel. When my sibling clarified the missing drink, the staff—an Asian man with glasses and a cap—responded curtly, "Next time, please say it louder." I found this response dismissive and unprofessional. Mistakes are understandable, but they should be addressed politely without placing blame on the customer. This incident left a sour impression on what was meant to be a simple and enjoyable coffee break. I hope the staff improves their communication and service.

Ordered a single shot espresso and cortado. One of the worst coffee taste I have ever had. The service was aaaaaawwwwwful. A grumpy welcome comment. Did he wake up with a neck pain or something? Geez...spreading out negativity and bringing other people down. When I asked for a SPLASH of milk to my espresso, he didn't hand over a milk jug, but pour right into my shot glass like he knows what SPLASH means!!!! Soooooooooo mad!

If you are closing the store, you shouldn’t take customers in, or if you do, you have to let the customer know! We ordered and the second we sat, she came to us saying” we are closing in 5 minutes” then another guy with his cleaning spray in his hands not even looking at us “ we are closed! And started cleaning!!! Jesus! Haven’t seen such a customer service in my life! My advice to owner is to provide customer service training for their staff!

I had the most amazing service today! I ordered my usual iced matcha latte, and it was perfect. The barista made it with just the right balance, and when I mentioned how much I enjoyed it, she offered me a few tips on how to make it even better at home. She explained that they use hot water to dissolve the matcha powder properly, ensuring a smooth and delightful drink every time.
When I thanked her, she smiled and said she’s been perfecting her skills over the past six years. It really shows! The staff here are not only skilled but also incredibly friendly and professional.
Before I left, I made sure to let another manager who told me her name was Randa know how pleased I was with the service. I even mentioned that I would be leaving a positive review on Google because of my wonderful experience. The atmosphere at this café is always welcoming, and it’s clear that the owner knows how to train their staff to provide top-notch service.
I hope this place continues to thrive, and I’m excited to see more coffee shops like this one open in Tanger. They’ve set a high standard for quality and customer care.

When I called her out in front of another employee, she acted all innocent and denied ever saying that. Not only bad barista, also a liar. I hope there’ll be more coffee places opened in tanger and it’ll be more competitive. So the owner knows how to train their staffs properly.
Before I left, I went up to the younger staff and told her I was going to leave a Google review because of my bad experience. I asked her to let the manager know it was the lady next to her. As I walked away, the lady shouted after me about how she's been here for 6 years, like that somehow excuses her unprofessional behavior.

Went in for a coffee and a wrap. I paid with my debit card and the person behind the counter said the payment didn't go through so my husband paid again. It's my fault I should have checked at the time but upon getting home and checking bank account the payment did go through. We both paid for one order. Never coming back. Not a fan of being swindled.

Such a bad experience ! I ordered a maple cold brew and a dark roast coffee. For starters, the dark roast coffee was very watery and had no real coffee taste. So I proceeded to go speak with an employee to possible get something else.. I expressed that I found the coffee watery and was the disatisfied. The manager had the audacity to tell me that if I am looking for burnt coffee to go somewhere else because they do not serve it here. What distasteful and unprofessional answer. This is not something to be said to a customer looking for a better drink that was payed for. Will definitely not be coming back!
