I ordered the Chicken Alfredo and the food was excellent. I would recommend serving a larger piece of bread to better enjoy the sauce. I ended up with a small amount of delicious sauce left over, but I was extremely tired from a long overnight road trip and didn’t think to ask for extra bread.
I deducted one star solely due to the bread, or because a bit more pasta could have balanced the dish better. The chicken-to-pasta ratio was perfect, and overall it was genuinely delicious.
I would definitely order it again if I’m back at the hotel or nearby.

We've really like Cafe 1274, and will be returning. It's an unassuming cozy restaurant that is quiet enough to enjoy conversation, has great food at reasonable prices, and fantastic and freindly service. We've tried a few of their daily specials, and they do not disappoint.

Was on a very long overnight road trip. 1 star reduced strictly for bread or could've used a little more noodle. The portion of chicken to noodle ration was perfect. Quite delicious honestly. Excellent on-site hotel restaurant! The prices are reasonable, the food is tasty, and the service is great. We had both breakfast and dinner—hotel guests can buy breakfast vouchers and choose from a smaller menu, which includes a drink. Breakfast was quick and delicious, and dinner was equally satisfying. A perfect option after a long day of travel or exploring the city. Definitely recommend visiting for both meals if you’re staying at the hotel. Note that they have split hours and are closed during lunch.

Went for breakfast and the food was not good. The home fries were just cut French fries and tasted like they were fried in dirty oil. My sandwich was bland and dry, needed much more sauce. Hubby got french toast and he didn’t like it. The coffee is also not good. It would be ok for a hotel breakfast if it wasn’t so expensive as well.

We were tired from walking so much in Parliament Hill area so we decided to come back to the hotel and ordered dinner from Cafe 1274. The soup of the day is cream of tomato. It's absolutely delicious and it tastes like home made. The large garden salad was of good portion and very fresh and crisp. The balsamic dressing is delicious and not overly sour. Baked penne has a good sourness to it which makes it refreshing and balances the cheese flavor. (The pasta is a bit too soft but kids like it) it was a very good meal! We ordered take out and ate in the room so I can't comment on the restaurant. The food was wrapped nicely and included all the cutlery and condiments we needed. The server was friendly and helpful.
Stayed in the Hotel Portion for a week in Feb 2025. Mum and I had breakfast here for a week straight. And it never disappoints. Highly recommended. Staff were awesome and friendly, shout out to Raymond.
