Very disappointed in the high tea. The quality was not worth the price we paid ($102 + tip for two people). The sandwiches were just on plain white bread and very small rounds (with a slice of dry steak with cream cheese or a tablespoon of chicken mixed with pesto and chipotle or cream cheese and a few cucumbers). Some of the round bread slices was hard and not because it was toasted! The raspberries were still frozen on one of the cakes in our platter as well. The tea and the blueberry scones were delicious but not worth the $100+ we spent. Hard earned money went down the drain here with nothing but disappointment.

I've been to this location twice now, most recently for a date night. I am a tea drinker so I appreciate their selection of teas and tea based drinks. They also have a mouthwatering selection of desserts and it was hard to pick one. The cafe also offers savory snacks etc... Both of us got tea lattes which were delicious and had a very lovely presentation. While both desserts were good, mine seemed a little stale but my partner's was very fresh. The cafe is stunning to look at and the mis-matched chairs and tables remind me of a thrift store. It is a warm and inviting atmosphere. We were there on a weeknight. It wasn't too busy when we got there but by the time we left, a lot of students had arrived and the cafe got quite loud. Other than that, the visit was wonderful. I'd recommend the cafe and will be back.

Beautiful little spot with great food and beverages. Beware when making a reservation. Knowing how busy they are, I made a lunch reservation for two and had an email confirmation. When we arrived, the place was packed and no one seemed aware of my reservation. This was disappointing. If you make a reservation, I recommend calling an hour before to make sure a table is indeed set aside for you. I should also add that parking can be a bit of a nightmare.

First time at Cafe Cristal and my friend and I went for high tea. Place was clean and inviting. There was an old world vibe that was comfortable. Service was excellent and tea and sandwiches was great. Definitely worth checking out.

We will be back! This was our first time at Café Cristal. We tried it for a late breakfast because the paninis were highly recommended by Samantha at the Honda dealership. The counter staff are lovely people with beautiful smiles for you. The sweet and savoury crêpe menu choices are creative. The portions are very good. The crêpes, coffee and vanilla latté we ordered were delicious. Hubby had the steak & egg and I had the strawberry custard. They serve high tea every day, but I'm told you need to reserve two days in advance. For that alone, I will be back...but I also loved the delicious latté. Decisions, decisions! Note: There isn't any pork on the menu, which may be of interest to some.

This used to be my favourite cafe in Barrhaven until my recent visit. I felt like the quality has declined seriously now. The wraps didnt taste as good, there was no salad served with the wrap ( which they used to in the past). The coffee did not taste smooth or quality grade. It just felt like it was not worth the prices 😪. Not sure if I’ll go back 😔.
Hot chocolate was warm not hot and tasted like one from pouches not real good one. Coffee was not from fresh ground Coffee. Atmosphere was good though.

This place is very very loud, took almost a half hour to just get 2 coffee's and one hot chocolate. The coffee was so weak it was like drinking hot water and very over priced. Will not recommend this place fir anyone.
