Had a lovely evening at Cafe Tehran this week with a small group of friends. We all loved what we ordered, from the traditional Iranian soup, to the chicken kebabs, to the Ghormeh Sabzi Stew, to the DIZI. Beautiful flavours and perfect tummy warming food in this cold weather. Highly recommend and the servings are HUGE.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had some kinds of kabob (Chiken, Kobideh, Chenjeh), they were well cooked. The portion was big enough. The staff members were polite and caring. Although it is located in downtown, there are free parking lot. It was a great experience and I recommend it.

Update: I went recently and invited my friends. I’m not happy here’s why: They are short on staffs and can’t handle under pressure yet, that’s okay. I took 3 stars because 2 stars restaurants warm up yesterday’s or even older food from fridge with macro wave ( you’re reading it correctly, macro wave ) and serve it to you. Please through away old food or at least warm it properly and tell to the customer it was cooked 2 days ago ( Qeymeh curry). Appetizers were horror show especially KashkoBadenjan which was excessive vegetables oil tangled with chopped onions in turmeric or fake saffron soup!
If you’re curious about the authentic flavors that define a typical Iranian family’s taste, you don’t need to book a flight to Iran or wander through its bustling bazaars there. Instead, let us bring those rich, traditional flavors right to your table and that’s the motto for this restaurant. Again it’s typical populist food like Mac Donald in fast food taste, this is typical populist Irani food cooked ordinary the difference between a perfect burger and Big Mac is the taste here so get it right.
