I was up from the states for a weekend trip to the National Capital Region and we were invited to a lunch at the Canal Ritz. I was very pleased with the experience I had. We were a party of 6, my meal was fantastic, from the Mussels in a creamy sauce with a bit of spice. The Chicken Marsala melted in my mouth. My date said that the grilled Salmon was the best she ever had.
I've been living in Ottawa for 25 years and regularly visit Canal Ritz because of its beautiful location. However, aside from the good service and scenic view, there isn’t much to praise about the food. The menu rarely changes, and the quality of the dishes is quite mediocre.
