Six of us for dinner at 730 pm. Restaurant seats around 24 or so, small space, was a little noisy but it might have been us...All of us have been to Portugal so hopes were high. Food was excellent! Grilled octopus was tender and delicious, bacalhau was excellent, all seafood dishes were devoured completely and the service was friendly and fast. Limited bar selection but adequate for a small space. Of note was the Owner/chef Fernando, Executive Chef Latifa and our server Suzanne which made our dinner very special.

Have been going to this restaurant for several years. We do not go every weekend but at least 3 to 4 times a year. After our last visit, we decided it was best to move on. The food is very good overall and we have tried many different meals on the menu. The atmosphere is cozy, small restaurant. But, we have found the owner to be very particular of whom he addresses and we constantly have felt the welcome very underwhelming, as if we are insignificant. Now, running a small restaurant one would think you would welcome all patrons especially those who return regularly, with warmth. Not so for our experience.
First time at this spot and Caravela did not disappoint! Delicious and plentiful food in a cozy, bustling and welcoming environment. We will be back soon!
It was my first time trying this place. The food was ok, however the fillings of egg tart was cold. services was terrible. Not sure if because we did not order any wines.

Decided to give this place a try for lunch. I could have lived the rest of my life not eating here and I would have been just fine. Average service - we walked in because the “open” sign was lit, but were told they open at noon. Then it was finally OK for us to sit and wait for the kitchen to open. We watched all the tables get bread but ours. We were only told after ordering and waiting a bit that the chicken takes ~35 minutes. When the server came over to ask how the food was, he only addressed my partner - didn’t even look at me! Average food. I asked for medium spice on my peri-peri and there was barely any spices/flavour. However, the chicken was juicy and with some extra hot sauce, it was more enjoyable. I usually love small restaurants and maybe it was an off day, but shows how little things can ruin the experience.

However, the sausage was too salty, and the bread served before the meal was cold. The seafood, though, was incredibly fresh.

This is one underrated restaurant. It has this second to none family and friendly atmosphere. The food is constantly fabulous. My wife and I enjoy the Caravella.
