I've searched Ottawa for years trying to find an authentic Halifax Donair, then finally stumbled into this place. Really great Donair with super friendly east coast service! My new go to.

Died and gone to heaven - I am not from the east coast but I know what an east coast donair tastes like and this met and exceeded expectations! The donair was absolutely delish. It is definitely my favorite go to place from now on. The owner was really personable and hands on! I dare you to try it. 😏

I live in Halifax, and the Donairs at Centretown Donair and Pizza are just as good, if not BETTER than some Donair shops that I frequent in Halifax….HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

So good, if you know Halifax donairs, you will love this place, the way donairs were meant to be.

Credit where credit is due. Hands down the best donaire I've ever had. Probably one of the best things Ive ever eaten.

So this review is not about food at all so if I do online order I can't select to pay with cash but if I call I can it is a inconvenience like I should be able to pay cash and not need to call the food is amazing try the donair egg rolls the donair is awesome the food and service is 100 a must try

OK... as a Haligonian for 57 years I can honestly say that the closest you will get in Ottawa to a Halifax Donair is at Centretown Pizza! They would give Tony's or KOD a run for their money. The meat is spicy, moist and delicious, the sauce is amazing. Don't get me started on the decor and music, which makes me miss home, then you have Terri Lynn who is an absolute gem, the friendliest gal ever.

Wonderful reminder of the east coast. Food was delicious.

What do you get when you combine a prairie girl and an east coast boy? You get the best donair place! Never did I think I’d be saying somewhere outside of Nova Scotia makes the best Donairs, but there you go! Most of the east coast Donairs places use prepackaged meat and sauce. Halifax Donair makes their own sauce on site and the meat is prepared specifically for them to the old standards.

You walk into the restaurant and the familiar smell of sweet sauce, meat and all the other goodness of great food reminds me of home. You get a cheery hello and your eyes take in all the nostalgia of east coast decor along with the melody of familiar east coast tunes. If that was the only thing good, I’d probably come back just for that. Luckily the food is so good and we keep coming back to enjoy the taste, smells and sounds of east coast living and conversation.

If you’ve ever wanted a little taste of home or wondered what the heck is a donair and why are people out east so obsessed with thief, you don’t have to go far-just down to Bronson St to a small quaint gem of a building.

Run, don’t walk, and get you some good eats from the best part of Canada.

Edit to add: the donair egg rolls are AMAZING!! Lots of sauce and so good.

We always eat in and sit at the bar. Small spot but food is excellent. Worth the trip. Not late hours.

Went to pick up on Sunday at 530pm. Open hours are 1-7pm, not a soul in sight, no sign, no note of website. Very disappointed.
