Loved my donair, tasted like I was back home. If you're from the east coast you need to go here. The atmosphere, music, friendliness of the staff took me right back to Nova Scotia.

As a native Bluenoser, when I ever get that need for a taste of home, Centertown Donairs are my go to! Nothing satisfies “back home” food than the Donairs & garlic fingers!

We moved here from Halifax a couple years ago and what a treat it was to have a donair that tasted just like home. The meat and sauce were just right. Definitely recommend!!

Donair was interesting with a sweet sauce to counter the savory spicy meet. Sauce was partially overwhelming with how much was added.

Took 30 minutes to serve the food for a group of 8, with no one else ordering food. Relatively slow service given the type of food ordered.

Absolutely loved my Halifax donair! The flavours were incredible—perfectly seasoned meat, tomatoes and onions, and a deliciously sweet sauce, with crispy fries on the side. The service was amazing and super friendly with east coast music to vibe to. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving an authentic and tasty donair. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I moved from Halifax 30 years ago and last visited 15 years ago. I had a sudden craving for the crown jewel of Maritime Ambrosia. Some would lie and say that is lobster, but us gentlemen of culture (as well) know it is the Halifax Donair.

The store is decked out in everything about the greatest province in the known universe. I heard maritime music playing as I approached the counter, as one hears angels in Heaven or Valkyries upon entering Valhalla. If it had been the Rankin Family playing, I feel I would have raptured, and my soul would have overnight expressed back to fishing on the Musquodoboit River.

As I did not rapture at this time, I ordered a large donair and a water. I was tempted to order a flavoured drink, but why drown out the flavour of the donair as it goes Full Send into your taste buds. Besides, it's not Sussex gingerale anyways (they're working on that).

The donair is exactly what I had been missing in my life the past 15 years - meaty, messy, sweet, and a moderate adult situational experience. The sauce isn't overwhelmingly sweet nor overwhelmingly vingary. The meat is a solid chunk of delightful love-handle inducing regret.

I hear they're working on getting lobster rolls. I can only get so turned on before a waiver may be required.

The East Coast Donair is really the greatest sandwich ever. You have not had a donair unless its from the East Coast. I say this as a person who is not from the East Coast.

Only minor complaint here is the fries, looking at the photos they have served a variety over the years, hopefully they will go back to something uncoated or fresh cut. I got some coated stuff last time and they were pretty bad.

Does not stop me from ordering an unhealthy amount of donairs.

As someone who has lived in Halifax and eaten many Donair in my time, this place is the best Donair I have ever had outside of Halifax. The sauce is perfection and the Donair was everything you needed and more. It brought me right back to the good old days of living by the ocean. Do not sleep on this place.
