This is my go-to spot whenever I miss the comforting flavours of home. As a Malaysian living in Ottawa—so far away from where I grew up—being able to enjoy Malaysian (and Indonesian!) dishes here truly feels like a blessing. The food never disappoints, and what makes the experience even more special is the warmth and friendliness of Budi, Margaret, and the entire crew. Always a joy to interact with them, and always leaves me happy and satisfied!

Why, why, why didn't we stop here for dinner before tonight? They've only been at this location on Montreal Rd., east of Blair for 30+ years. Great hosts. Authentic, and delicious food. Mild to very hot (they will warn you). Extensive menu. Reasonable prices. Great in all respects!

Totally surprised to find a hidden gem while visiting Ottawa. I would considered the Malaysian food here probably the most traditional among all the Malaysian restaurants I have visited in various North American cities. The chef has definitely maintained the traditional taste and style of cooking. Don't have to travel and visit Malaysia to experience authentic Malaysian food! Be warn that the three-star spiciness is really spicy.

Been going for years. Food is good but quantity has gone down hill. Never get the soups there. The owner Caucasian older lady, extremely unwelcoming and rude. Tried to argue about questions about the menu. Also, zero check ups. Had to leave the table to request drinks. If you're (owner) reading this, make sure whoever that older Caucasian lady is learns some manners.

After growing up most of my life in SEA, this is by far one of the most authentic tastes of the region. You get greeted by an Indonesian aunty whose service as well as homemade chilli sauce is out of this world (we took 3 whole tubs home.
As for the food, we had the wings to start.
I had the khew tioh and rendang, my husband had the java chicken and fried rice.
Everything was amazing. Fresh, flavourful and the portions were huge. We ate plenty and had plenty to go. Love love love. 100% recommend!
Great traditional Indonesian and Malaysian foods in Ottawa, very friendly and great services. We are glad to a chance to stop and visit this restaurant while we are in Ottawa area.
