We booked a reservation for 20 people for a wedding after party and I would 100% recommend this place. The drinks were unique and delusions, the overall vibes and music was fun, and service was great as well. If you want a fun night out and are looking for somewhere that can accommodate a larger group as well this is the spot!

The service was great, food was excellent and they have a good list of mocktails/non alc. beer options for people who don't drink!

Service FABULOUS! Amazing staff. Unfortunately, my date and I ended up leaving earlier than intended because we couldn't hear each other. Both of our drinks were disappointing as well, we didn't want to finish them before leaving. I've been here several times, not sure if I'll be back.

Charlotte's is a place that doesn't know what it wants to be other than an excellent bar.
I was looking for a quiet after hours bar for my wife's birthday to find a place were the party could relax and have a few drinks until the end of the night. Charlotte's has nice relaxing lounges that feel like your living room more than a bar and their drink list again is long and distinguished with wild cocktail mixes and it would have been perfect except for the blaringly loud techno music. If this was a club or it even had a dance floor it might have made sense but Charlotte's looks and feels like your home and has endless options for living rooms to lounge in, so the music being so loud you can't talk and so danc-y with nowhere to dance makes Charlotte's seem unsure as to what it wants to be.
Outside of that, the drinks where amazing and the service was impeccable.

Set up for conversation, although quite loud with the dj. Comfy couches, plenty of seating. Old Maxwells location . Cocktails were lovely. Rangec18-23 each

This hidden cocktail bar/lounge is so pretty and so are their drinks too! Its located beside pure kitchen on elgin st but its upstairs. I love the inside and the bathrooms are pretty for pictures! There were a few downsides tho. We didn’t have a reservation and we got put on the waitlist. It was around a 30 mins wait on a Saturday night, which wasn’t bad. There was a dj playing and the music is loud so its hard to have a conversation. Service was ok and we were kind of left unattended for the entire time we were there. It wasn’t super busy while we were there but there were big groups. The server took a long time to take our order as well as bring us the bill. This spot is cute for the drinks but unfortunately service could be better.

I came here with a large group of 20 friends and we had a large section reserved for us. We had really great service and our server was super attentive and it was a pretty quiet night so we almost had the whole place to ourselves until after 9PM.

The food that is on the menu are snacks from pure kitchen downstairs so there is not too much to eat so come here just for cocktails and snacks. While the cocktails were really unique and aesthetically pleasing, I found that for the price of them they weren’t actually that good in terms of alcohol content they didn’t taste super boozy, and I had three cocktails there and was barely feeling anything. Meanwhile, I usually have three cocktails at a local pub for $12 and have a really good buzz.

I come here for a cute date night drink or a girls get together before going out somewhere else, but I find it a bit overpriced for the cocktails. I would likely go somewhere else to try specialty ones.

I was excited to try this spot, but unfortunately, the cocktails didn’t live up to expectations. I ordered two different drinks, and tried another two drinks that my friends ordered.

All of them were quite watery—the first sip tasted about 50% like water. The flavors of the ingredients were barely noticeable, which was disappointing given the $15–$20 price range. For that cost, I was expecting a more balanced and well-crafted cocktail.

The atmosphere and service were nice and relaxing but not too much on the chic side, and the drinks just didn’t hit the mark for me.

Lots of space and a very cool vibe. For a sit and talk place though the music can be a bit too loud. Drinks were good

Service and cocktails are terrible and the music is so loud you can't hear yourself think. Avoid at all costs.

Charlotte is the gift that keeps on giving. The ambiance is like nothing else I can find in Ottawa. Stefan was on his first night, but made me and my girlfriend feel like we’re the only people That mattered in the bar. Extensive knowledge of the menu, great recommendations, and an outgoing personality. Thanks for making our night special chief.
