love the vibe, but the food was alright. We came because of the rave reviews of the burgers, so each of us got burgers and they were all super bland and dry. For the price I’ve definitely had better burgers in ottawa at the smaller fast food burger joints

We had a burgers, they were really good. 30 min wait to get a table and I think we got the best seat in the house. Middle table upper level. Would for sure eat her again.
Had an enjoyable Friday dinner on a visit to Ottawa, the restaurant was quite busy but we were able to get a seat after a brief wait. We had mussels as an appetizer, I thought the sauce and the fries were excellent, quality of the mussels themselves was ok. I had the duck for my main, which I thought was a bit dry. Sides were very well done however. Portion sizes were generous and great for the price. Atmosphere of the restaurant was fun and it was a unique experience having french food in a bar style restaurant. I'd come again to try other items but if it's a cold day out, would recommend to request a table inside the main area, as we were seated in a space near the entrance and whenever the door opened it got a bit cold.

We visited Chez Lucien yesterday, but unfortunately the food quality was not the same as before. We have been there many times and always enjoyed their burgers, which is why this visit was disappointing.
This time, the burgers were poorly cooked — the inside was undercooked while the outside was burnt. The same issue happened with the French fries; one order was extremely burnt.
Given how much we liked this place in the past, this experience was very disappointing, and sadly we won’t be returning.
