After my wife picked me up from the train station we both were hungry and had a hankering for burgers. A recollection of some social media post reminded me of the hype around Chez Lucien. I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews about slow service (we were hungry!). My wife however, was undaunted and eager to see if the burger lived up to the hype. We went and we both won! Yes, the burger lives up to its reputation as one of the best we’ve had. And, no, the service was not slow. In fact, it was the highlight of the night. Jamie was friendly, efficient and attentive to detail. Getting served with a smile is rare these days. I hope the manager knows what a gem they have in Jamie! A great burger turned into a great night by great service.

Well known Ottawa pub and restaurant. The menu is filled with delicious food; the hamburgers being their staple. I’ve had most entrees and mains, and I’ve not been disappointed with any choice I’ve made in the years I’ve frequented this institution. It does get quite busy and reservations are limited some nights.

The service was slow on a Monday, I don't blame the staff though, there was only one girl serving the entire place + bar when the other guy was taking a break. She was nice herself, but took about 40mins to get any food and like 15mins for anyone to come to my table (normal given the circumstance, but not okay to be this short staffed), the burger was okay, nothing special, the patty was dry and didnt have ton of flavor. (This is their signature burger), fries and salad were good, i liked the dressing , thats about it, wish the burger was impressive. Only came here bcz of the high reviews but it didnt impress. 40ish$ after tip for a burger with sides and a beer, won't come back. Maybe it was my unlucky day, unfortunate.

Absolutely delicious! Got the scallops and Poutine! The scallops were really good, and the sauce to dip in was yummy, as well came with bread and that was good as well. The Poutine was soooo good, almost ate everything, but very filling for two. Would definitely go again! Note: might be a while with service due to not many on staff, but they did amazing. The staff that worked Friday 22 afternoon were amazing! Definitely will come again! Thank you for a great experience and food!
