This is my second time visiting Chez Lucien, first time I came for lunch with another two people, this time I came for breakfast with my family. I have tried on 3 occasions to pass by for dinner when I happened to be near, all three times they were too busy and could not accommodate us. I would suggest booking a table. Their menu is limited, but what they do, they do well. Lunch menu items are delicious, my friends and I tried 3 dishes in total. For breakfast we had regular eggs Benedict and their special eggs Benedict along with an omelette. They were all nicely done. Service can be a bit slow when they are busy, but they are friendly and working hard.

So happy we had a reservation as the place was jammed. Burgers clearly their most popular dish and they are good. Like that you get both salad and fries as the side. Great service, great prices and a lively crowd. Will most definitely return.

Very nice experience...you have to be patient, the place is popular so the wait can sometimes be long...but it's worth it!
Don't really get the hype. Food is good, but nothing special. The atmosphere and look is nice. Service is pretty bad. The servers were nice, but it took more than 40 minutes to get our food. A couple of people who were seated after us received their food 10 minutes before us. We didn't order anything that takes a long time to prepare, a poutine and croissant sandwich with ham.

Got the seafood fettuccine, was really greasy and not the best. Friends got the burgers, which looked amazing. So I was disappointed in what I got. Was really hard to get service from the waiters, but when he would come, he was very attentive. Really good atmosphere.

I don’t usually leave google reviews but I can honestly say this is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Ottawa! The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is incredible and the service is top tier! Thank you to our lovely server Lori she was amazing!

What a fun night. The place is packed the whole time.
Quite the place! Nice little bar very well set up with covered patio (great for winter), long narrow bar as you walk in, rooms up and down past the bar. Which means its easy to get difference feel depending where you are. Food was very good and plentiful. Ordered the snails in butter, typically you get 6 to 8, there were over 20 ztacked in my small plate, lol. I've tasted better but they were decent and amazing quantity for the price. Also had their protein salad and even better than the snails, great taste and big plate. Sorry, no pics this time, maybe next ;)
