As a visitor to Canada, I must say, this was singlehandedly the best food experience we had in 14 days in here (and we eat out every day through Toronto, Montréal, Québec, Kingston and Ottawa. Well worth the visit.

The food and service are always amazing and well worth the price. I enjoy the lighter atmosphere at Citizen, however, the Town dining room has a more intimate setting. Town/Citizen has become a staple in my circle for celebrating important events and milestones!

Outstanding food all the way from pickled olives, white anchovies and focaccia, through mains of meatballs, curry, extraordinary pistachio pasta to desserts. Great wines too!!!

I can't say enough about Citizen. It has become my favourite restaurant in Ottawa. The food, drinks and service are all incredible. I've dined here for two, hosted a client dinner in the back of the restaurant, and threw my wedding reception at Citizen. Each time everything was perfect. They accommodate all dietary restrictions, their menu and cocktails change often so each time I come there is something new to try. Highly recommend!

This was a very cozy restaurant with great service. We had a very friendly and knowledgeable server. The house made focaccia should not be missed. Loved the vegetarian options and large selection of NA cocktails. The presentation of the food was like art. It was a very enjoyable dinner.

We went for dinner last night and we are still raving about Citizen! From the cocktails, to the appetizers, to the cool playlist, atmosphere and EXCELLENT service, Citizen will be our go-to spot the next time we are in Ottawa!
