This is hands down my favourite café, I come here regularly and absolutely love the coffee. The atmosphere is usually warm and welcoming, and it’s become my go-to spot in the neighbourhood.
That said, I’ve had a consistently negative experience with one particular staff member (a Black woman — I don’t know her name). Each time she’s working, the service feels noticeably cold and unwelcoming. There’s no greeting when approaching the counter, minimal eye contact, and a general lack of basic courtesies like “thank you” or “you’re welcome.” I’ve felt this way on multiple occasions, and my family also noticed it when they visited with me.
I’m sharing this not to single anyone out or be unkind, but because I care about this café and want to see it continue to thrive. A little warmth and friendliness from all staff goes a long way in creating the kind of experience that keeps people coming back.

Was pleasantly surprised by espresso, both caf and decaf espresso were great. Decaf espresso was even tastier than regular. Portions of espresso are large enough because they serve 2 shots by default.

Such a cute place. Amazing service (they were really sweet) and delicious sesame latte. It was unique and Ottawa definitely needed to get onto that. Competes (and is better) than big names from Montreal. Will become a regular.

I can't comment on service, atmosphere or location. I purchased a bag of dark roast beans. The flavor profile, as described, isn't even close. It's a fruit cup and a medium roast at best. It bears no resemblance to a dark roast. Brutal!
I enjoyed their filter coffee very much, and for a 25c discount for bringing my mug -- kudos for being eco friendly! Breakfast cookie was also very good.
