Cocotte Bistro Reviews
I have been dreading this review for a while now, but things are not improving!
Tonight, February 15th, they had a fixed 4 course dinner for $100. I called in advance because I was dining alone at the bar and inquired if I needed reservations. No mention of the $100 menu.

Excellent service. Portion généreuse. La bouffe est exceptionnelle.
What a great experience… food, service, great waitress Jenny… Sunday morning …. Must in Ottawa
Would love to have sampled the food but we were greeted somewhat rudely ignored and possibly laughed at one point for asking if we had a server .
Walked out and went to Eggspectations on bank street for a warm greeting and actual service .
Don’t trust google reviews folks the bad ones just get deleted .Au revoir Cocotte pour toujours

Cocotte Bistro offers a delightful dining experience with attentive service and a cool French ambiance. The menu features French onion soup, steak frites, coq au vin, duck confit, Eggy Bun, and Eggs Benedict, all beautifully presented. The food is flavourful and well presented, with generous portions and exceptional taste. The atmosphere is described as quaint and romantic, making it a good choice for dates and group gatherings. The interior of the restaurant is very cute, providing a lovely atmosphere where conversations can flow without yelling. While service has been noted as average at times, some guests have experienced impeccable service. The restaurant is suitable for various occasions, including celebrations. The beef tartare is excellent, and many find the flat iron steak pretty good, with accompanying dishes like oyster mushrooms, roasted carrots, gratin dauphinois, and bacon lardon being great. Desserts like creme brulee have also impressed diners. Overall, Cocotte Bistro aims to provide a memorable dining experience, and with a few tweaks to service and menu consistency, it could become a favorite spot for many.
