We had the quiche and salad. The quiche was good but a small portion and the salad was very basic. Not worth the price in my opinion. There was nothing remarkable about the decor. I think my expectations were high. Overall it was an average experience.

I ordered a medium-rare steak, but it clearly didn't meet expectations—it was overcooked and lacked the tenderness I was hoping for. Overall, I felt the dish didn't match its price. The wine glass even had measurement markings, which made it feel like drinking from a measuring cup—not exactly a fine dining touch. The prices seemed inflated. The ambiance was decent, but that's about it.

I have been dreading this review for a while now, but things are not improving!
Tonight, February 15th, they had a fixed 4 course dinner for $100. I called in advance because I was dining alone at the bar and inquired if I needed reservations. No mention of the $100 menu.
Sat at the bar, was ignored by all the staff. First course didn't show up. Second course showed up and I asked where the first one was. They brought it after. The third course, the short rubs, was cold, as was my food the last 3 times we went there.
i returned it and version 2 was better. Dessert was a very uneventful creme brulée.
This is my third ( possibly 4th time) discretely providing feedback. Getting a comped dessert or small glass of wine.
I was really rooting for this restaurant, but it is mismanaged and really needs to get their act.

Would love to have sampled the food but we were greeted somewhat rudely ignored and possibly laughed at one point for asking if we had a server .
Walked out and went to Eggspectations on bank street for a warm greeting and actual service .
Don’t trust google reviews folks the bad ones just get deleted .Au revoir Cocotte pour toujours

Was pleasantly surprised. This place was so quaint and great atmosphere for a 1 on 1 date or group setting. Loved the decor. We sat in a booth super romantic. Muito obrigado Vitor! Great service :)

My wife and I are in Ottawa for an anniversary weekend. We have travelled far and wide and eaten everything and everywhere. Chip trucks to high end. Never ask for much. Always polite and friendly and great tippers. Have never ever had such a rude greeting. All we did was ask for a table not out in the open. They proceeded to serve people that arrived after us. They were laughing when I asked if we could get some water and still no one served us. Again. All we did was ask for another table. As long as I live I will never ever recommend the Metcalfe hotel or Cocotte. Totally pretentious and insulting young ignorant greeter. Actually I’ll make a point to tell people not to visit either spot.
