Really loved this place! The food was amazing! I ordered steak and fries and the meat was so delicious and tender!🤤 The waitress, Anabelle, was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. She checked on us just the right amount and had such a positive energy. Her service made our meal even more enjoyable!

Upscale French bistro located in the Metcalfe hotel lobby. The food was flavourful and well presented. Service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is classy without being pretentious.

First, what they do right. Service is great and the floor team performs a a good if somewhat slow service. And then there’s the Benedict. Thick cut bacon and a perfectly poached egg. It’s legit and worth the price.
But, what they do wrong? Pretty much everything else. Dry, tasteless French toast. Overcooked steak with burned fries.
The locale is fantastic and the service is strong. The food does it all a disservice.

We arrived at 10:15am. No one acknowkedged us. No eye contact. It wasn't too busy (Labor Day holiday) but the guest relations officer didn't attend to us until after 5 minutes. We were told we can be seated but we need to be out at 11:45am. We asked if the service is fast, we're told we should be okay. Okay. We were seated in the middle where all service crews walk by. We waited for someone to take our orders. Crews just keep walking past. We told the lady in black apron we are ready to order. She nodded. We waited some more till our patience ran out and storm out. What a really bad service for a place that is just less than a third occupied. All they did was to keep us waiting from the moment we stepped in.
We spent 25 minutes walking around to find this place only to disappoint us from the get go.

- FOOD: Beef tartare ($19), served with the soft toasted brioches, was excellent. The flat iron steak ($49) itself was pretty good but nothing mindblowing. However, the accompanying oyster mushrooms, roasted carrots, gratin dauphinois, and bacon lardon were great. This was a very large portion for what I was expecting, so good bang for your buck as well.
- SERVICE: Great, courteous, polite. No complaints. Food was served quickly.
- AMBIENCE: the interior of the whole restaurant was very cute. I liked their choice in glassware as well.

A cute and cozy spot with a nice selection of French-inspired dishes with lovely presentation. Good list of mimosa. On Saturday they don’t serve lunch menu at 12:30, so we proceed with the brunch menu which was good for adults but limited for kids. The food is good overall, though not quite amazing. The croque madame had quality ham, though the cheese and sauce could have used more flavor. The avocado toast was fresh and tasty, and the French fries were excellent. The kids’ French toast had good flavor but was a little soggy. In general, it’s a charming place near Parliament Hill, worth a visit for the atmosphere, but the food still has room for improvement.
