I really enjoyed my griot lunch special. Rice was really good and the pork fresh and everything is like I remembered it in Haiti, except somehow the plantains are even tastier here.

Really excellent food and lovely staff! The meat is always delicious and moist, the rice and beans are delicious, and I would drink their gravy if I could. Highly recommend - they are incredible!

Ordered the Fritay, listed at $20 on the menu, but was charged $28 instead. I guess there’s a hidden “surprise fee” no one tells you about. If the food had made up for it, maybe it would’ve been easier to swallow, but unfortunately the plantains were dry enough to make me question if they were cooked yesterday. If you enjoy paying extra, this might be the place for you.

Hot humid day today so I stopped in for something Carribean. I am a huge fan of Haitian food, grew up eating it, learning to make it, had lots in Haiti. Fried Chicken is my favorite with dirty rice. This place delivered. Amazing food and Cheap! Try their 10 dollar special. She's been making it for over 20 years and moved here from her Vanier location. I will be back for sure

This has got to be the least expensive, tastiest, most diverse, filling lunch in Ottawa. Three choices for the $10 special. I chose a big piece of fried chicken, a little dab of spicy Caribé slaw, a flattened fried plantain and tasty rice with scattered beans and a yummy sauce on the side. Plus a cold soft drink or for extra guava or breadfruit juice. Great deal. Lovely manager too.

Drove 5 hours to eat here. Food was delicious!!! Just like my Mother-in-law cooked. We had the marinated pork platter, WOW!!!.The pikliz is awesome!!! The amount of food you get is well worth the price. The staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend coming here!!!

Was in the Ottawa area and thought I'd give this place a try (found through a Google search for pate Haitien). The food was fantastic. We had the griot platter, and everything was perfect. The service was friendly and wonderful. We ate in, and my son also got a take out meal for the long drive home. The portions were plentiful. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The Lalo is a must try. The pikliz 5 star. Pate was perfectly flaky, the filling top tier. We're already thinking about how to fit in another 5 hour drive (each way) into our summer plans. Overall experience was stellar. Will visit again.
