Tried their Indian street food event this past weekend. Its the best Indian food I have tried. All their dishes had lots of flavors. The service is also topnotch, I did not pre-order like everyone else. I walked in person and had so many questions, these dishes they were serving were unheard of to me. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff had pulled the owner out of the kitchen so, she can explain the dishes to me in great detail. I would definitely give the staff 5-star. Both their food and their service is really good. You will not find this anywhere else in Ottawa.. Take it from a person that has been to many Indian restaurants in Ottawa.

Their set menu for the Indian Street Food Festival was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and had a kick without being too spicy. Generous portions and friendly staff. As we are in lockdown, I didn’t get the in-restaurant experience, but the take out is a great way to make your day a little brighter.

Got the street food all you can eat as take out to try an indian restaurant in ottawa that I don't normally go to as I have other options. As this had indian snack options thought to give it a try. Also, because its covid, I thought I would try a local restaurant and support them in these tough times. I have to say the quality of the food was so terrible that 1 star is only for the service. The food was super oily that I was able to still squeeze the oil out from all the items. The samosa, aloo tikki, puri, you could taste the oil very clearly. As an indian I have had WAY BETTER snack foods at other restaurants in ottawa. The taste was very bland in all items and no variety as we expected. I will not be visiting this place again as after that much oil I did not feel good. Quality will really need to go up if this restaurant would like our support.

Swimming in oil. Had their Street Food Festival. 4 dishes virtually exactly the same. All of them, even the sauce for the appetizer, was swimming in oil. Yuck.

Have had food from here often and I am never disappointed. The portions are perfect, the flavour amazing and the best naan I've ever had! Those of you giving bad reviews since the news article came out are downright petty and childish! Most of the negative comments over that last couple of weeks come from people and their friends and families who ILLEGALLY sell food made from their private kitchens to sell on Buy and Sell Facebook pages.

-1 star because I removed 4 tablespoons of oil off the top of my meal-1 star for the exorbitant prices-1 star because despite all this it tasted like adequate, passable Indian food, and because I had to contact the restaurant since their delivery app menu was outdatedIf I'm spending $80 for takeout for 2 it should be impressive. If you are comfortable paying high prices for mid-tier food, this is the place for you. If you want something good, go to Thanjai instead

Just writing review to oppose the owner and people supporting her. Owner herself is/was buying some homemade food like pickles and other dishes. She used to contact homemade food makers to get some info and buy things. Then why so double standard? This owner is taking advantage of Canadian laws of food. She knows how to use those laws for personal benefit which are made for people for something serious. Government also knows what is right and what is wrong, hence we didn't see any action against anyone. If it comes to proving then I can share those messages and other things which can prove that owner was ordering from them.People who are supporting her blindly should know her other side before supporting her.And also for the owner, please don't reply that this is not correct platform to discuss and blah blah blah. You are no one to tell someone which is correct. You chose the platform to report those homemade food makers according to your evil thinking.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!! Worst ever experience I would not recommend anybody to ever get close to this restaurant Oily and burn quality food and missing items in the orders . Worst of all is the attitude and racial approach of the owner who thinks that she is superior human . Lol When I called to explain my concern she proudly mention that she dont care and that she’s not oblige to be gentle to anybody since she’s busy .zero manners . On top she look down on individual and tag people according to her will Shame On this owner She miss some brain cell for sure This is the worst ever restaurant experience I ever had Hello !! You are in hospitality and you have the obligation to show some respect to somebody who is willing to Spend his hard earn money in your business It’s my mistake and it was my decision to pick this restaurant and Hell it’s a huge mistake which will never happen again and I’ll make sure that anybody whose around me and any connection on social Media get ti be aware of such and recommend ti stay away from this shame of a restaurant When I informed her about I’m going to write her a beautiful review she even mentioned she don’t care STAY AWAY from this restaurant There’s plenty more respectful and better quality food in Ottawa

The chicken curry I ordered was incredible! Especially at the lunch price of $10. Service was exceptional. And curry was so authentic and packed a huge punch of flavour and good spice. Definitely recommend.

Love this place! Not only is the food great but the owner is awesome and does a lot for the community. Some people are trying to tarnish the image of this restaurant just because she stood up against illegal operators. Please don’t go by those 1 star reviews in deciding whether to try the food here. I for one support this place and above all, love the amazing food!

I only give star for this restaurant because the service I got was slow. The food was amazing. We really enjoyed the food. The owner gave us chicken pickle to try as she was experimenting for the upcoming menu.. I though that was very thoughtful.
