Had the 重庆豌杂面 ("Chongqing minced pork with peas" noodles). Quite delicious. Nice very slightly spicy broth with tahini+peanut making it nice and creamy. Chickpeas were nice and soft, and the minced pork had a nice slightly sweet bean paste taste (at least I think that's what the taste was). The cilantro was a nice touch. It could've been spicier but was delicious as is in any case.

LOVE their chicken stewed in iron pot!!I really love iron pot stew! ❤️❤️ ? ?Fresh and fragrant...I'm craving for it now as I write this review. The portion is quite large and it’s worthy of Northeastern cuisine.

Wuhan people say that although hot dry noodles are not traditional, they taste good. The hot pot is delicious and there are many sauces to choose fromWuhan resident says Hot chili noodle is good. Hotpot is food too.

It used to be the ceiling of Ottawa's cooking restaurant, but now it's the floor of the basement of Ottawa's Chinese restaurant. The decoration is so awkward that it cuts out three bedrooms and one living room.

We ordered the 铁锅排骨炖士豆豆角. The flavours were good but the portion was really small. Considering we paid $21 (excluding tax and tip) we expected more meat, but instead we got more sauce than anything else. Also, the beans were very mushy. You can get better value and quality at many other Chinese places in Ottawa.

Everything was delicious. We had N01 Szechuan Style Beef Brisket and N03 House Special Marinated Pork Belly. It has the same soup base but different protein. Also had the lamb skewers. Menu has both English and Chinese. Food came quickly. Meal was filling. Restaurant was clean & bright. I will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended! If you haven't visited yet, give it a try :)

This is a small quaint schezuan style restaurant. Definitely recommend appetizer- cold spicy pork and entree spicy fried chicken. Parking is along the street.

Great, authentic food. I wanted to go again today but found out that the owners are on vacation and will be back mid August (around 15th), 2023.

Authentic northern Chinese food just like home cookingAfter reading all the comments I had little expectation coming to this restaurant, but quell surprise!Located in an unassuming corner lot in Sandy Hills, off the busy commercial strip, the interior of the restaurant is actually quite modern and nice. Well lit, offering a mixture of booths and tables. Nice clean bathrooms too. There is also free onsite parking (entrance located on the side street), but didn’t know about that, and there were plenty of on street parking spaces.Food was authentic and phenomenal, reminds me of my grandma’s cooking back home, big portions too. Service was nothing like some reviewers mentioned, granted that the service staff don’t really smile, but they get things done in a timely fashion. You can also get the drinks from the fridges on the side by yourself, just leave the bottles on the table and they’ll count them at the end. This is apparently a good dining spot for the students around, you can be assured that food tastes good and price is reasonable.Highly recommend, it exceeded my expectations.

Food is okay, but really nothing special. Menu is confusing and is obviously only catering to those who know what everything is. Not cheap, but not expensive. Everything we ordered tasted pretty much the same. Not in a hurry to go back.

We ordered a bunch of things to try. The deep fried pork with sweet and sour sauce (F02), the coating is a bit thick and the sauce is on the sour side. However it is better than other Chinese restaurants who offer the same dish. But not as good as the Harmony restaurant(unfortunately it’s closed). The eggplant with garlic sauce (F29)has big piece of green pepper in there, which is odd for this dish. I would rate it below average, it’s not up to the fish fragrance dish flavor standard. The kungpao chicken(F20) is very disappointing, not the right kungpao flavor if that is something you are looking for in this dish. The fried lamb(F19) with cumin sauce has very little lamb in there, the flavor is good, but the lamb was mostly fatty. The bbq whole squid was tasty, not too hard and chewy, spice seasoning was right. The Sichuanese style beef brisket noodle (N01 )was a surprise. The beef was tender, the soup was ok. It tastes like the packaged beef noodle I had when I was a kid in China. If you want to have something nostalgic, it’s a good choice. In general, it’s better than some other Chinese restaurants in town, but wouldn’t fly if it’s in China. Would try more bbq stuff next time.
