Damas Supermarket is always clean, well-stocked, and has very fresh Halal meat. If you want to be sure you’re eating real meat, especially with the new laws in Ontario, this is the place to shop. The staff is friendly, the prices are fair, and the quality is consistent.

Just bought these today. 2 bags of tea and both are expired (one of them since 2024). Lots of expired products on the shelves, no price tags, if you want to know the price you have to check with cashier every item.
You can also might be surprised at the cash bc they have different prices at the system and price tags you see on the shelves. I told them before about price tags and expired products but I guess they just don’t care.
I’m driving 30 minutes from Gatineau to get there and that’s what we got in the of the day. Now I have to drive back to return them.
I already submitted complain to food inspection with these proofs. I don’t wanna waste my time, gas and money to drive back every time after shopped there.
Will never come again and don’t recommend to anyone.

Best supermarket, the best halal meat, especially the butcher is the best, khan and sister cut the meat very professionally. My goto spot for getting groceries, especially the meat.

Buyers beware: this store has serious issues with date checking. I worked two unpaid “training” shifts and pulled a shocking amount of expired products from the dairy and beverage fridges. Some of the cheese was dated back to early 2024, and there was milk that was a couple of weeks past its best-before date still on the shelves. This is not only unsafe for customers but also unfair to workers who are expected to do labor without pay under the excuse of training. I strongly recommend shopping somewhere that values food safety and treats people properly.

I recently travelled from toronto to ottawa and bought hamburger meat. BY FAR it was the best tasting meat ive ever had, highly recommend this supermarket/deli.
