My wife and I met up with a family member for dinner and it was truly one of the best restaurants we have been to. Street parking was a bit of a challenge but once we arrived the reception we received was warm and welcoming. The food was excellent - bruschetta was simple but full of flavour. The food was not just delicious but possessed those subtle flavours that truly made dining here amazing. And the desserts: crème brûlée and the tiramisu were perfect. There is no doubt we will be back!

My husband John and I walked into a gem of a restaurant this evening. Warmly greeted by Karim and seeing my friend Alessio made me feel right at home. The food was sublime, the service- extraordinaire. Had an opportunity to meet Massimo, the chef/owner as I offered “complimenti” on the meal. This was fine dining. We will be back! Dante is exactly what Ottawa needed! Finally, a place serving authentic, high-quality Italian food like no other. The service is not only excellent but so warm and personalized . You truly feel taken care of.
The food is absolutely mouth-watering, every dish crafted with such attention to detail. One of my favourite parts of dining here is connecting with other Dante guests at the bar. There’s a real sense of community and shared love of great food.
On top of that, Dante offers pasta-making classes that are both fun and incredibly valuable. I’ve learned so many techniques I never would have mastered on my own. They take something that seems complex, simplify it, and make it an absolute joy. I can honestly say I’ve never made pasta this good before their guidance.
If you haven’t been yet, you have to go to Dante. It’s a culinary experience you won’t forget!

The atmosphere was as fun and friendly as the servers. Rob was the best, we had an amazing time. But the food is the star, you can’t go wrong with any of the choices on the menu. We were a group of 10 and sampled just about everything. It was very traditional, authentic, just like my Nonna would’ve made for me.

The ambience was elegant with a warm atmosphere accompanied by exceptional Italian cuisine. Rob and Charlotte were both attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A true Italian Gem in the middle of Beachwood Village.
I ordered the catering option and everything was phenomenal! Karim and his team were incredibly responsive and had the food ready on short notice. The gnocchi were delicious, the sandwiches were excellent, and the mushroom sandwiches were a big hit with my wife. Everyone was impressed — highly recommend and can’t wait to dine in person!

honestly impeccable service and food. any substitution we wanted they could do (except for the meat sauce) but everything else was handled so well and even gave us an extra side salad to compensate for the cotto we couldn’t have on our burrata. service was well timed to allow you to enjoy your apps and have a dinner at a nice pace without being done too quickly. 10/10 no notes.
