Nice Pub! One of the best places in Ottawa to hang out with friends.
What a location !
Right in the middle of Sparks, The National War Memorial, the Parliament buildings, Rideau centre .... Absolutely beautiful patio.
Fresh, creamy Guinness.
Great cocktails.
Hip staff.
Love it !
Drinks were cheap and it's a nice space, friendly bartender
so... it was crowded, the waiter, a man with glasses and a small beard, did not notice us for a long time, then he finally came up... we decided to start with a small order and apparently disappointed him with this... we waited for a long time, about 30 minutes... finally got the food: the spinach was done well, but the chips were old with spoiled oil... we decided not to order anything else and waited another 20 minutes to pay... none of the service personnel showed any particular interest or friendliness.. don't think will come back here again...
Didn’t spend a lot of time here but we watch the game and it was quite packed with a lot of the guys are there a lot of different floors and basement. I thought I need atmosphere we were there at the party have some drinks and watch the hockey game. I might come try here for lunch and it’s not in a nice location for me to go visit other places
Good burger! Good beer!
We were extremely slow moving on the Queensway, called to say we were going to be 10 minutes late, they were very understanding and accommodating. Our Server was busy, but very attentive. I ordered my half sandwich, no chicken, more bacon/tomato instead, yum., love the mini French onion soup, but could be less salty.
The food and drinks are great quality, particularly the Guiness. Sometimes it is busy and the staff may need sometime to get to you. Live music is fantastic
Came here to have a quick appetizer before going for a tour, we were a bit short on time before we had to go for a tour, but we managed to get in and out with ease!!
Food was what you’d expect, it wasn’t too crazy fantastic, but it was tasty and it hit the spot. The service was fast, our server was super friendly and answered all our questions that we had about portion sizes and popular dishes (plus, she got our meal rushed to help get us out the door quicker!). I really wish I got her name, but she was fantastic.
We ordered the crispy calamari and the cauliflower bites - Would definitely recommend these for shareable dishes!
Service was amazing. My Chicken Schnitzel was over cooked and dry. Maybe a bad night because the food is usually very good here.

We made reservations and they were ready for us as soon as we arrived. My daughter and I each modified the chicken club, and it was delicious. We both loved them. I upgraded my fries to a poutine and it was great too, just a little too much gravy. The fries at the bottom were soggy from being fully sitting in a deep pool of gravy and it was quite salty with all that extra gravy. We'll definitely be back though. The building is old and charming, not your standard big square layout. Lots of little sections etc. And there is even a bathroom on the main floor which is rare for lots of downtown restaurants.

Food was great
Place was very clean
If you need a parking, go to NAC.
Nice pub. Noisy on Friday night but I suppose that’s to be expected. Friendly staff. Great stew! (On a side note: I never thought I would be sitting at a table with French’s ketchup and Heinz mustard - what has the world come to?!)
