Decent service, but that’s where the positives end. The atmosphere was dull and uninspired and seemed to act more like a holding pen than Irish pub. There was a persistent, unpleasant smell, like a mix of stale beer and industrial cleaner that didn’t quite do its job.
Food was typical airport pricing, but the quality was disappointing even by those standards. Nachos came out on clearly stale tortilla chips, and the overall presentation felt rushed. I ordered a Guinness hoping for some redemption, but it barely hit a 4/10. It was off-tasting, and likely served through lines that badly need cleaning.
For a pub bearing the name “Darcy McGees,” you’d expect at least a proper pour.

Worst restaurant at the Ottaw Airport. People are eating and I wanted a beer to drink on the outside table and all she could say was”we are close” but there was still 20 minutes left from their posted hours. They close too early as the restaurant not far from them has a lineup..

One of the burgers and fries I have had! Both were very delicious. My wife had the French onion soup. She loved it. Son really enjoyed the chicken thigh sandwich. Service was great. Highly recommend.
Stopped in for a quick pint before our flight. Not bad… it was expensive which is what you get at an airport, but the server was nice.
The word on the street is that this location is closing down soon so if you love it, come back soon… and if you hate it, don’t worry about it for much longer. Caution: the wine selection is becoming more limited as they run through their stock

Worst fish and chips I ever had. Fries were soggy and unsalted, so was the fish.
Staffs seem uninterested, checks off basic service and that's about it.
QR code payment system was unnecessarily cumbersome and asks you to pay the tip before even getting serviced.
Would be nice to see another establishment taking over this drab of a business.

One of the worst experiences I've ever encountered. This place needs to close or have a serious review of its business practice as its an embarrassment to consider itself an Irish pub.
Extremely rude barperson (even more so to fellow staff). Zero acknowledgement when i sat on the stool in front of the bar as i just fancied a pre boarding pint, after a few minutes of no eye contact and being outright ignored noticed I should order from some COVID era QR food ordering system.
I said nope, that's not for me and headed back to the Big Rig and got my beer with a smile in 5 minutes.
Needless to say stay way from this joke of an establishment and any staff working there reading this get out ASAP.
