My wife and I finally found time to get out and give Datsun a try. We are so happy we did, a very busy and bumping atmosphere! It was packed so we ate at the bar which was a fun experience. Got to watch the food being made too which we both found entertaining! Our server was very friendly and kind, he went through the whole menu with us which we both found very kind! The sake sour was delicious, your ex’s sweater is also very good if you like a dry strong drink. The Kabocha squash dumplings are fantastic soft with a little chew and a sweeter light flavour! The crispy cauliflower wings are awesome! Awesome spice level and sweet sticky sauce. We also had the crispy chicken and tofu Bao, oddly enough the Tofu Bao was tastier and more flavourful. My wife and I both agreed. Overall a fantastic experience and a great night out!

Very good restaurant, my only criticism is the quality of the ramen drastically fluctuates based on who’s working.

Really enjoyed this restaurant! I don’t eat meat and there were several really good options. The mushroom ramen was vegan and really flavourful. I was a bit surprised by how small it was for the price (about $16) but it was very delicious nonetheless. I also really liked the tofu bao. I wouldn’t recommend the cauliflower unless you like a sweet Thai type flavour, it was too sweet for me. The atmosphere is nice, very hipster, but a bit noisy. Overall good experience!!

Hands down a must in Ottawa. Our bartender Erica was super friendly and very attentive!
Amazing. Delicious. I've been to restaurants in Toronto that are twice the price and not as good. Also got to try some things that I've never had anywhere

My boyfriend and I were looking forward to trying this place because a couple friends had recommended it. We left unsatisfied.Having tried various “asian fusion” restaurants, we had high expectations. We ordered the Cod bao bun which had okay flavours and the fish was lightly battered, the pork and coriander dumplings which barely had any meat in it lacked in flavour which was drowned by the black vinegar sauce and mustard? (a weird combination for a dumpling sauce as it overpowered everything), the crispy pork belly brussel sprout salad had a nice dressing but had 5 little pieces of pork belly, and the dan dan noodles barely had any noodles in it. We ordered this thinking that it was one of the “larger” shareable but to our surprise, the portion was more like an appetizer. All that to say, the price of the food did not feel justified. Portions are ridiculously small and the service wasn’t the greatest either. Our server never once smiled and she never came to our table to quality check our food other than to take our already empty plates. Overall not a great experience.
