Excellent establishment, definitely the place to go to if you love whiskey.
The steak and salad is super cheap, $22, and the steak is definitely cheap, but it's a really good meal for the price 👌 Tastes more like a homemade steak rather than a restaurant one but it's cooked very well.

Food is pub food. No complaints; the specials are usually very good. If you like scotch, this is your place. The beer list is better than most popular Ottawa pubs. Try the patio; on Elgin in the sun under an umbrella...or along side the restaurant in the total shade. Service is friendly and usually prompt...great value compared to some other pubs on Elgin.

Authentic British pub feel, great selection of import beers and spirits, especially scotch! Food was just ok, but only had a couple of appetizers and service was a bit slow even though the pub was pretty much empty. All in all a good watering hole.

The service was great and we were a large group. I ordered the butter chicken and was extremely disappointed. The rice was overcooked, and I am not certain that it was even basmati. The sauce tasted more like canned tomato soup than the rich spicy butter chicken I am used to. Fish and chips and that others on my party ordered were satisfactory, and the pulled pork was good. The atmosphere was great and , again, the service was efficient and quick.

First time, popped in for lunch. Food was good, beer was cold, service (Chris M) was excellent. A really good experience.

On the website it says kitchen is open until 1:30 am 7 days week, I went at 11:15 pm and they told me the kitchen was closed 🤷🏻♀️ when I mentioned the schedule on the website, they just told me that everything was alredy clean and it was not possible to have food…

Great service. Beers were good too. Live music! All is great except their food. We had bunch of things from there some traditional Scottish food and others like ur typical nachos and wraps...all were pretty meh.

I was sitting at the bar for 15-20 minutes, i saw a space filled with empty glasses, as a former server (10 years experience) I was appalled by the the servers ignoring this table. I got up, grabbed a tray and cleared it because it was just sad. Then I got told I would be kicked out for this. I used to enjoy coming here but recently it’s been so negative, and i shouldn’t be doing their job. I asked an employee to do it and they ignored me. Brutal. This used to be a good place but lately, it’s awful.

A very good Elgin Street pub with decent craft beer, tasty food, and a Scottish theme. A good place to watch a game.

Went back to Ottawa for our 35th and found this pub. We loved it so much we went back the next night! Food was amazing and fresh, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Thank you, Deacon Brodies for making our anniversary trip so special!!

If you want authenticity in a Scottish pub this is the place to go. Starting with the incredible bar, the selection of Scottish ales and lagers, every kind of single malt and authentic Scottish food. Good place to meet people, great staff dressed in shorter kilts add to the atmosphere. Will definitely be back next time in Ottawa. We said $40-$50 including ales and dessert, pub food $15-$20.

Expected great but disappointed. Avg food. Don't order London Dip! Tasteless. Service needs some professional help. Better service at gas stations.
