I called in an order, and they got my order wrong. I was ok with it at first, but the owner of the place started to insist that I didn't know what I ordered, as in the mistake was mine. I placed the orders so I know exactly what I ordered. Instead of apologizing and offering to fix the problem immediately, The total lack of customer service skills is the reason why I'm not returning to this establishment ever again. They need to go learn customer service skills.

Detola!!!! You've been blessing me with delicious food since I was 7 months pregnant! I’m not Nigerian, I’m from the Caribbean ,but my husband, our new baby, and I make sure to visit Detola’s at least once or twice a month.
She truly cooks from the heart. You can feel the love in every bite , it’s not just about business, it’s about service, flavor, and soul!
I highly, highly recommend checking it out. The space is clean, simple, and welcoming, and the food is absolutely DELICIOUS!

Recently used Adetola’s Kitchen for catering our rehearsal dinner. The portions were very generous. Everyone enjoyed their food and raved about the puff puff and jollof rice. We sent everyone home with leftovers and still had more. They were very accommodating and delivered our food with no issues. I would recommend this restaurant especially for catering services.

Went there for dinner and ordered Ogbonno Soup with Fufu (Goat Combo). It was so delicious! The food was fresh and the portions were appropriate for the price.
The restaurant itself was clean and had such a cute aesthetic. I would definetly recommend Detola’s Kitchen!

This is probably one of the best Nigerian restaurant in Ottawa. I’ve only been able to order their food online but in my opinion I feel the portion of rice and soup served is a bit small compared to the price in the combo section but for the food, 100% I would recommend.

The portions were huge and the food was delicious. Had the whiting with jollof rice and plantain, my friend had a meat pie and goat. We both walked out of there totally stuffed and with doggy bags in hand. I also tried a fermented millet drink - kunu zaki- which was like nothing I had ever tried before- and bought another to bring home, it was so good. The puff puffs are reminiscent of a superior home made old fashioned Timbits.
I used to be upset because they weren't returning my calls but now that I know how busy are, I understand.
The food was absolutely delicious. The spice level was 10 /10 but it was worth the suffering LOL

It makes absolutely no sense that a potential customer has to present the exact number of individuals that want an item on your menu before they are attended to that’s just absurd.
If I say I want 10 meat pies and I alone want to eat all 10 why should you dictate I can have only 1, when I’m paying for it and not begging.
Please y’all need to fix up your service.

Had an absolute good time here trying out the Nigerian food. Spicy lovers, come on down. If you’re opting for the combo, the sides are on the smaller portion. So if you want more, should order them separately.

Legit think their meatpie is gold. went with the family to meatpies and they said only one per person. Told them the family is in the car and they still asked me to bring everyone down before they would give me 5 in this cold. Very sad to see.
