It's a dive bar. Realistically priced drinks. Live music. Cheap pool. Great place.

So glad we stoped in. We were in from out of town and instantly the bartender Matt welcomed us warmly. He provided great conversation and insight on the area. When we were done went across the street to the Lafayette where Lucky Ron performs every saturday night. Highly recommend stopping in to meet Matt at the bar and experience the Dominion!

Looks like a good spot to see a show if you're into punk or metal. I went during the day, high prices but strong drinks. I'm not sure how it compares to other spots in Ottawa.

Went in for a beer on a quiet Tuesday and the bar man Ali was an absolute gentleman. He was telling great stories and his customer service was top notch. Good beer selection, friendly regulars, good rock and metal tunes. Highly recommend this bar if you're visiting Ottawa.

bartender WITH losing hair, was really rude at the get-go. i asked for Burt-Reynolds and he just laughed in our face, saying it wasn’t a “fancy” bar. i get it, but his tone was not needed; it was me n my cousins first time there. we left and gave him 7$ tip either way. we just got a spiced rum shot. nothing “fancy”…. this is a punk vibe. not stereotypical, but thought “punk”/“ alternative” ppl were more acceptable… anyways. never going back here!!!o
(me n my cousin r alternative n emo, the one guy defending us was the guy w curly hair…. thankful for him)

The most eclectic and the first gay punk club/bar I've ever been to.

I went before going home, my friend and i tried to order a shot before leaving the market. we tried to order a “burt reynolds” and it was just a simple shot and they told us they don’t serve “fancy shots” and all we got was being made fun of by the bartenders and customers. they said we need to pull out money and when we did they still made us feel uncomfortable. i wouldn’t recommend bcus they felt so judgemental. drinks were good though idk. i feel like they didn’t want us there bcus we weren’t as “alternative” as they were.

Weird experience.
I went in there today with a friend and I thought yay! I love bars like these. Pabst blue ribbon cans, pool table, great spot reminds me of my younger days…. But

I went for a cigarette and came back to my stool at the bar. The spot I was sitting next to had a different regular client in it.

When the man who had been there before came back he asked me to move instead the other regular who was in the seat he had been in.

I told him weren’t you in the other seat? And told him I was just finishing my beer.

I left after my beer. This bar is really meant for a handful of super regulars.

It sucks because when I went in I was like yay this is like when I used to hang out on crescent street in Montreal.

Anyway it was weird. The guy has a red heavy metal tattoo below his right ear.

I sound intense but it was strange. No doubt.
