A great local take-out/delivery spot I use. Amazing egg rolls and garlic spare ribs. Generally always order the same 5-6 items so can't say much about the whole menu but what we order is always great, fresh and we eat every last bit for many years.

Ordered take out recently. Was a good contactless process (picked up). Food was hot and fresh, I'll definitely be going here again. Also they have the best (besstttt) wonton soup ever. It's a really big serving and worth getting!

At just $15 for a dinner buffet, a nice interior and efficient service, this is an affordable option if you're looking for the "classic" North American interpretation of Chinese cuisine. The buffet selection is modest, and there's not much beyond ice cream for dessert, but they do offer all the basics of Chinese cuisine that you would expect. The food quality is similar to that of an average Chinese delivery service. The draw, I think, is that for $15 this is an affordable and predictable option if you have a craving for Chinese food.

The buffet is average, bit the food prepared from the menu, Has no match, chow mein, eggplant... unforgettable. Ribs are generous and sauce great...

I had the all you can eat buffet. Cost was about $15 at dinner and 14 for lunch. I tried every item at buffet and was pleased with the quality of all the options. I am easily pleased by food I should warn you. Also I really enjoyed the atmosphere created by the elegant decor.

Disappointed for dine in. We went there on a Saturday night for dinner at 5.45 (buffet closes at 8 or 8.30), the restaurant was empty. The buffet was empty as well... And wasn't refilled once. The food that was there was not fresh at all, been sitting there for a long time, and some was even cold. Overall not impressed, a significant drop of the quality. Prefer take out

With the recent closure of Eclipse and Yang Ming (they say closed for renovations, but seems like closed forever. I don't know), there aren't too many Chinese buffets in Ottawa (well, except for national mega-chain Mandarin, but Mandarin is pricey, lunch is $19.99 - $23.99 (weekday vs weekend), and dinner $27.99 - $30.99), so I figured that I would try some of the lesser known smaller buffets in town with lower prices. The New Dragon Restaurant seemed to fit the bill with lunch buffet being $12.95 and dinner buffet $14.95, everyday (well, except Tuesdays when they are closed, and they don't open for lunch on weekends, but the prices can't be beat!). So I had lunch there on a Friday with a girlfriend, and overall it was pretty good for the price and for what it is - very Westernized Chinese Food. I would compare the food to Manchu Wok, Tiki-Ming, and Shanghai 360. In my opinion, it's the same calibre as food court Chinese Food and not worse than any of the above chains. The buffet does not have too many items if you're used to Mandarin or the huge buffets in the GTA like Wok of Fame, or Dragon Pearl, but enough for some variety. They had 2 soups: wonton and hot and sour. They had vegetarian spring rolls, pork egg rolls, and fried pork wontons for appetizers. For main dishes they had chicken balls, chicken fried rice, vegetable chow mein, egg foo young, stir-fried noodles (vegetarian), Singapore noodles (chicken, no shrimp), honey garlic spareribs, fried chicken wings, stir-fried vegetables, General Tao's Chicken, chicken and vegetables, Szechuan beef and vegetables, Szechuan pork and vegetables. For "Canadian Food" they had french fries, onion rings, and a salad bar (lettuce and raw vegetables). For dessert they had tempura bananas (which was in with the hot food), chocolate cake, and ice cream (Chapman's brand). The above list is everything that was on the buffet the day I came. The wonton soup was good. The wontons had a much higher filling to wrapper ratio than most places, so I liked this. The broth was not too oily nor too salty. The fried wontons were delicious. The wrapper was all blistered and crispy. The chicken balls were as respectable as chicken balls can be, lol. They were filled with lean breast meat and the batter wasn't too thick. They were crunchy and tasty. The General Tao's Chicken was my favourite dish. Crispy batter and big chunks of chicken inside (mix of both dark and white meat). The sauce was sweet and tangy. The other dishes were unremarkable in my opinion. The Szechuan dishes were mildly spicy and the Singapore noodles had a faint curry flavour. Flavours were definitely muted. I did like the tempura banana with ice cream for dessert. It was like a twist on the traditional banana split. I had a bite of the chocolate cake and I felt it was not worth the calories. The only real flavours I tasted were "sweet" and "artificial," even worse than "McCain's Deep 'n Delicious" cakes in my opinion. The website said that they opened at 11am, and my friend and I arrived at 11:15am (as we like hot fresh food that hasn't been picked over too much, haha), and we were told that the buffet didn't open until 11:30am (they just do takeout from 11am-11:30am). I guess the locals know this because we were the only people there for the buffet at that time. This wasn't a big deal for us because it was just 15 minutes and we had some chatting and catching up to do anyway. At 11:30am the server (/owner?) came over and informed us that we could start with some soup and egg rolls. They in fact had a few other items out as well. By 12:00-12:15pm all the items were out and everything was hot and freshly prepared, so I had a much different experience than some of the other reviewers here with regards to food not being out or not being fresh. From the outside the place looks a bit run down and looks like those Chin
