Went to drip house on Somerset for brunch. We felt extremely rushed the whole time despite 1) having a reso 2) arriving on time well before close 3) ordering sufficient food and drinks to justify staying at least an hour and a half??
In the end, the waiter took my half drink martini while waiting for the cheque.

good drinks + food and that’s about it. went on a thursday at just after 6. wasn’t busy at all other than a large table. not acknowledged when we walked in. we didn’t get our order taken/water brought to us for 10 minutes. we ordered at that same time ~6:15, food and drink, and it took 21 minutes to get our drinks and we didn’t receive our food until just after 7. ridiculously slow service

We celebrated our anniversary here and had such an amazing experience! Jason took incredible care of us — friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the night feel special. The cocktails were absolutely perfect (some of the best we’ve had anywhere!),. Beautiful atmosphere, great service, and overall such a memorable evening. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a great night out!

We arrived on Halloween day by 7pm and they were to host an event at 8:30pm. The waiter was still kind enough to make us coffee knowing that they don't usually serve coffee at night. He was so kind. Thanks again 😊

I didn’t realize the place was actually a bar as well. I was looking to get a late night latte and saw the Drip House and had been meaning to check this place out.
What a cool spot. Great vibe, the staff were friendly and the service was great.
A very chill spot to grab a coffee and chill or dinner and a drink.

WAY more than just coffee. This vibrant location keeps pulling us back in whether it's a latte in the morning, or a beverage in the evening. Not to mention, we've attended and hosted late night events which never disappoint us or our friends. In particular, Jason is particularly accommodating to make any special occasion feel like a world-class experience by being courteous & professional.

Drip House on Somerset Street in Ottawa is a great café for anyone looking for a modern, relaxed spot to enjoy themselves. The atmosphere is clean and stylish, with large windows that let in a lot of natural light. Whether you are there to work, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy a quiet moment with a drink, the space feels welcoming without being too busy or loud.
One of the highlights of Drip House is its menu. They offer a good variety of brunch and lunch options, including several that are gluten free. You can also request gluten free bread for toasts or sandwiches. The kale and halloumi salad, in particular, is a fresh and satisfying choice for those avoiding gluten. I grabbed the breakfast bowl & replaced the onion rings with hashbrowns.
The staff are friendly and happy to answer questions about ingredients or substitutions, which adds a layer of comfort for people with dietary needs.

I had a really disappointing experience here. I was quietly eating my food and using my laptop when a staff member asked me to move because they needed that space. The way it was handled felt very rude and unprofessional and, honestly, it made me feel uncomfortable, as if I was being treated differently for some reason. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and I won’t be coming back.

There’s absolutely no reason to be blasting music on the patio if there’s not a single soul sat out there
