I placed an order over uber eats and called to ask a couple questions and they truly went above and beyond for me, this will continue to be my favourite comfort food/place to eat in all of Ottawa!! Big shoot out to team(kitchen, host etc) thank you so much for your service and SUCH delicious food :))

I ordered paneer, gobhi, and laccha paratha at this restaurant on Sunday evening. I arrived around 5:05 PM. They told me that my order would start being prepared at 5:45 PM and that it would take 15 minutes to get everything ready. I agreed and gave my order for takeaway.
At 6:00 PM, I asked if my order was ready. One of the servers seemed confused and didn’t give me a proper response. I then asked another server who claimed to be the manager. He told me that due to a human error, they had prepared 2 paneer parathas instead and offered me 2 paneer parathas and 1 laccha paratha instead of what I had originally ordered.
I told them I wanted the exact order I had placed. What I meant to say is that the restaurant was not busy at all, so I don’t understand how such a mistake happened.
Also, the so-called manager didn’t even check with the chef for an update on my order.

Yesterday I walked into this restaurant as the first person around 5 pm and I was immediately greeted by Tash. He was extremely polite, kind and courteous which made the dining experience really good.
However the food was an absolute disappointment.
I first tried the chicken tandoor which only look great but was really bland and lacked any sort of flavour so was the butter chicken It felt like I was eating a weird gravy.
Than the lamb grave was even worse i could smell the raw meat as it was so undercooked. The kebabs dipped in the sauce were also dry. I could go on about how terrible the food was but it would take a while the only silver lining was Tash’s hospitality otherwise this place doesn’t even deserve the 2 starts worst part about it was i paid $36 which could have been spent elsewhere

I love this place. It has a good variety of Indian food and very delicious. Especially, Navratan Korma, my number 1 dish to go with. One suggestion only to the managers, make sure the washrooms are clean and well functioning. And overall improve the cleanliness. Thank you.

Had the buffet. Everything was delicious. They make the naan right in front of you. Was the best bread I’ve ever devoured. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The mango lassi is must try. It is more of a dessert than drink , but so worth it. My favourite part of the buffet was the mango mousse. The texture is so smooth and almost silky. I’ll definitely be back for more!

🌟 5-Star Review 🌟
If you’re craving Indian food, this place is an absolute gem. The staff are incredibly kind—always welcoming, and they often surprise you with little extras in your order, which is such a thoughtful touch.
My go-to favorites are the palak paneer (so creamy and flavorful!) and the veggie samosas, which are perfectly spiced and crispy. But honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Every dish I’ve tried has been delicious and made with care.
Highly recommend stopping by or ordering in when you’re in the mood for something comforting, satisfying, and full of flavor. This restaurant has definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation!

One of the better restaurants in Ottawa! The atmosphere is incredible and the service exceeds expectations. Our server, Taj, went above and beyond. He even showed us how to make Pani Puri since we had never done it before. The food is spectacular and it is so affordable! This was a high end restaurant with high quality food for an amazing price. Will definitely be coming back!

Had an amazing experience at East Indian Company! The food was rich, authentic, and full of flavour—every dish hit the mark. But what stood out even more was the exceptional service from our waiter, Ranak.
Ranak was welcoming, patient, and genuinely attentive. He guided us through the menu, made great recommendations, and checked in just the right amount to make sure we were comfortable without ever being intrusive. You could tell he cared about creating a good experience.
It’s rare to find service that feels this personal and sincere. Ranak made our evening memorable, and we’ll definitely be back because of him.
Highly recommend both the restaurant and asking for Ranak if you can!
