Honestly, don’t even bother. The service was terrible, they took over 40’ to bring our food, but honestly I wish they never had. The cheeseburger — which by the way didn’t even have cheese — was literally a frozen great value brand burger. It had the most minuscule piece of lettuce and HALF a piece of tomato. My partner’s Philly chicken sandwich took an extra 20’ to get delivered. And honestly, calling that a Philly chicken sandwich is simply an atrocity. No cheese, no onions, no peppers, only gravy. Truly miserable. The chicken literally tasted alive. Meanwhile the mashed potatoes were instant ones. I’m not even exaggerating, this was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service and meal I received during my recent visit.
I ordered a bacon cheeseburger; however, I was instead served a plain burger, which appeared to be a frozen patty, accompanied only by a piece of wilted lettuce and none of the other ordered toppings.
While the restaurant did provide a complimentary pint to address the error, the staff's unhappiness with the interaction made for an uncomfortable experience. Will not be going back to Eddy’s.

The breakfast is fine, but the burgers should come off the menu.

My wife and I came here for breakfast this morning, we each had the 2 eggs and bacon breakfast. One of my eggs had an 8 inch hair cooked in to it. I pulled it out of my mouth because it was contained in the cooked egg and wasn’t able to see it sooner. This breakfast cost $32 for 2 people and I was given a free hot chocolate. They offered to make me new breakfast but I was not hungry anymore. The 2 breakfasts should have been free. I don’t recommend. Matt Hollinger

Breakfast was okay. Regular diner food. Service was not very pleasant. Better hope you don’t need to use the dark and dingy bathrooms downstairs. Never doing that again.

A simple diner in the Glebe, but the food is excellent, always consistent, and the service is always fabulous too. I love their Eggs Benny (I get the tomato & cheese one--a rare combo but delicious) and their home fries are crispy on the outside and soft (and hot!) on the inside--they are perfect. I'm also happy that they have GF bread for toast. Occasionally, I enjoy a simple 2-egg breakfast, but if I can't get toast, it's not a very filling meal. So I'm glad they offer that here for those of us who can't have regular toast.
I have mostly popped by early afternoon after the brunch rush, so it's never been a problem getting a table here either. The server we often have, Laura, is fantastic! She's friendly, welcoming, and efficient, and she also chats with all her customers as well. You can tell she enjoys people and the social nature of her job. She's awesome! Also, I stopped by for breakfast this past Sunday (June 22) with a friend, and we had another great server (I forgot to ask her name), and she was fabulous, too. She only works one day/week here, if that helps the owner figure out which staff member I'm talking about. Ownership does a great job of providing excellent food, but also hiring as well. Great little breakfast/lunch spot in the heart of the Glebe. Highly recommended!

Our group of 5 came on May 25th, 2025. It is a very tight space for groups of over 5. We spent 90$ for 5 meals, which is not bad for a diner. As soon as we entered we were greeted by our waitress and she was very polite and we got our food in under 30 minutes. The hotdog was good, although the sausage is kind of dry. The fries were missing a bit of salt. The corner near the entrance is the quietest and has no distractions. The front where the bar and the speakers were and are very loud and have a lot of TV's. Overall, it is a very good place to have a nice chat.
PS: The washrooms could be better.

Eddy’s diner serves good, simple, solid fare. The BLT I ordered was nothing spectacular and not particularly generously-sized, but the home fries were decent and the coffee was good. Prices are fair, especially for the upscale area and elevated prices that pervade the neighbourhood. Our server was great. The bathrooms are super hazardous for tall people to access in the basement.
We visited Ottawa for 2 days. On our way back we came across this diner for breakfast. The service was quick and the lady serving us was considerate who kept on checking if everything is fine. The coffee was great! We ordered chicken Philly, chicken club sandwich and fish ‘n chips. Each item has its own unique flavour! If we come back to Ottawa we will definitely visit the diner again!
Amazing diner. Great breakfast. Loved the breakfast potato’s. Nice place and great service.
Great food and service! Lowest brunch bill I’ve had in the city too!
Reasonable prices. Mediocre food
