So i don't usually do this ...but I wish I could give a 0 !!!! We were there a total of 45 min we tried to order appetizers and they were out of everything ...also no sushi so that cut off half the menu ..then they offered us complimentary spring rolls wich apparently weren't able to be served for some reason ....at that point we got up and left plates empty belly's empty . They took 10% off our btl of sake we were still charged 40$ and no manager came over to see us and as we left the owners were asleep on the couch in the entrance! Would not ever go back or pay 40 to 50 $ an entree! Terrible place!

Would not bother going to this restaurant. Vegetables consisted of onions and a couple of small chunks of zucchini. I asked the manager why the carrots and mushrooms were not in the vegetable mix as advertised and the response was “the owner has not been around lately”. That was a red flag and our party of five should have walked out. At 7 pm on a Saturday night a good restaurant in downtown Ottawa should not be 3/4 empty. There was no chicken or salmon available. The table cook was likely on his first job. All food smothered in a brown sauce that was not teriyaki, it was awful, nobody finished their meal. Felt sorry for the serving staff. First time I have never left a tip.

I don’t like to leave negative reviews, but I feel others deserve to know before spending good money for poor quality! The worst meal we have had in a very long time. They had run out of salmon and The vegetables were basically onion with a few pieces of zucchini. The fried rice was tasteless with just rice and egg, no veggies. The teriyaki sauce was gummy and everything tasted the same. There was no show, just a guy cooking at the table. So disappointed

The food was very good. There was only one server working that night, but she tried her best to serve everyone and was very friendly and patient. The chef didn’t chat much with us, but the overall food quality was excellent.

The experience was okay. The time we went they were short staffed, and the chef was not very interactive.

Only one server avail. It was obvious they ignored or did not honour our reservation. The chef was good. Not talkative but attentive. Just took too long to arrive. Everything looked dirty (dungeony).

I had high hopes on this, but this is no where near a true Tappanyaki/Hibachi restaurant standard. The chef was nice, but extremely inexperienced and kept on dropping the food in the oil drain. The shrimp was ok, but steak was not good, meat was unevenly cooked. Veggies and noodles were way too oily and lack of taste as well. Also, the restroom is filthy, I would not recommend this place.
