Used to be one of my favourites, but this place really fell off. Menus were dirty, and there was a lingering odour in the air. I wasn't given a saucer with my coffee, so I had to keep the spoon in the mug the whole time. Food was not worth the price.

Eggspectation is a fantastic breakfast spot in the downtown of Ottawa. The food was very good and the service was outstanding. Poached eggs were perfectly and the ingredients were prepared in house. The Lyonnaise potatoes were a nice change from hash browns or pan fries.

Hearty food and great service!
I ordered the Big Daddy Burger along with poutine, and I’m so glad I did. The burger was delicious with a generous helping of bacon, and the poutine was the perfect size, loaded with cheese curds and rich gravy — absolutely satisfying.
Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a great spot for a hearty meal! 🍔🧀

2 eggs Benedict with a handful of potatoes (eggs were delicious, so they got a 2 instead of 1). 1 slice of French toast with some strawberries and banana. Average. 2 pancakes. Average.
Absolutely not worth the money whatsoever. Men's bathroom was apparently disgusting. Floors were painted scrapped up cement, just didn't add to the aesthetics.
Seriously, try this place out! The food is great and the service is amazing! Our server made sure we never ran out of coffee. Try their lobster omelette

Solid brunch spot for sure. I would recommend more during the week brunch because weekends are super busy. The breakfast taco was super good. The service was a little iffy because it took a little while to get the food and for them to take the order as well.

Had a positive experience with one exception...for a week day mid morning the washrooms on the main floor AND upstairs were a mess....that is the only reason a star was deducted....clean washrooms are a must now a days.... Aside from that, the service was top shelf, the food was quite palatable.... Coffee was continually refilled without asking....nice touch....all in all, positive
