Had the Mango and Acorn dessert yesterday and they were by far the best desserts I’ve ever had!! Incredible flavours and quality.
Went there after seeing all the hype about their fruit desserts, but the rude (blonde) staff member completely ruined the experience.
Some of the best cheesecake, beautiful lil store front and you can watch the chef create!!
I had high expectations for this place. Seen it on tic tok. The server was extremely rude and impatient. I said it was my first time hoping she would have a few good suggestions. The staff bring in the back looked miserable. Maybe it was an off day but it’s very unlikely that I will go back. At 15$ for a single pastry I expect better customer service 👎
Very cute pastry shop ! I appreciate the owner's commitment to have all the desserts made without dyes or artificial ingredients, which is reflected in the price, so I would definitely go there for the fresh and organic products they use. I just found the pastries were missing something, but it may just be me.
Thank you Elina for making Beautiful, Delicious pastries.
We bought an assortment to celebrate a special birthday. Everything was fresh and flavourful. Not too sweet, just right. We shared family style so everyone could try a bit of each. Everyone loved it. A delight for the eyes and taste buds :)
The “Highest Rated” tag on Google Maps is absolutely accurate!
It’s one of those rare Red Note recommendations that truly lives up to the hype — zero disappointments!
My friends in Ottawa also said this place is amazing!!
Check the little labels for prices — they also list the ingredients and components, so just pick what you like best.
After looking around, the hazelnut one is truly exceptional — it’s basically a walking Nutella! Who wouldn’t love that? The combination of coffee mousse and sweetness brings the flavor to another level.
And the Basque cheesecake… wow. You can find Basque cheesecakes everywhere, but none of them achieve the same rich and velvety texture as this one. So many people have said this is the best Basque cheesecake they’ve ever had.
A few customers even came in asking how long it keeps if they take it to go —
Elina patiently explained that it tastes best today or tomorrow, since the mousse texture won’t be the same after that.
Also, Elina herself is absolutely stunning and elegant! You can immediately tell she’s Elina — the Le Cordon Bleu chef and the owner!
She was so happy and appreciative when I sent her the photos I took with my iPhone.
(There are also great spots nearby — the Royal Canadian Mint, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the National Gallery — perfect for exploring before walking back here for dessert!)
If this place was in any French town, they wouldn't survive. Some of the pastries are good - the tarte tatin for instance is an interesting modernization of the classic. But others like the black forest bombe are mis-judged (if stylish) and the prices are absurd.
Desserts are amazing!! But the customer service is unpleasant.

We tried three different desserts and loved them all! They looked amazing and are not too sweet! Would definitely recommend this place.
Have been dying to try this spot, and it did not disappoint! The flavours of what we got were amazing, and tasted as good as they looked. Highly recommend :)
Higher price pastry shop but delicious, delicate and creative pastries!
