Visited the Elmdale for my first time earlier tonight – what a delightful spot! My date encouraged me to try the Chowder and let's just say it left me WOWder'd – can't forget to mention the Beef Tartare, too. Yum. Our main server was so great, but every server that passed checked on us as needed. Nice to hear local artist Shawn Tavenier do some sweet covers too, really added to the experience. Can't wait to go back for oysters!

Nice spot, accommodating of groups, we were there for a friends bday, about 10 people— I am unfortunately allergic to fish and shellfish but they were able to provide lots of info and reassurance— very friendly service— meatballs were okay, would have preferred without the cheese but overall yum!Dietary restrictions: Although a fishy place, able to accommodate fish/shellfish allergy

Me and my girlfriend had a date night and absolutely loved the place. We got a mixture of 12 oysters and lowkey wanted more! The food was a bit salty for my taste but still lovely. Service was friendly and helpful. We will be back for the nighttime. Love the music set!

Elmdale Tavern has a great atmosphere and an elevated menu. There were 7 of us, 3 generations. We enjoyed several apps (lobster arancini, popcorn shrimp, shrimp tacos) then lobster and shrimp grilled cheese and chowder. Good selection of craft beers. The music was great, noisy and fun atmosphere (but we could all hear each other). Great food, great service. Highly recommend
Went on a Tuesday night so it was a cosy collection of regulars and a few dates.The drinks punctuate an awesome menu. The team are fun and down for a chat. And Jason's cute.

We went on a Friday evening, and everyone was happy with their meal. I had the lobster roll, my husband had the fish and chips, and my friend had the vegetarian option - chef created on demand. It was all delicious, but I would have liked the lobster roll without mini shrimp added. Also, it would have been nice with a bit of chopped celery and more mayo, but it was still very good! The place was rather loud when we first arrived at 6:30pm, but then quieted shortly after. The only real complaint is that the seats were not comfortable. My husband had a very hard time because the chair seat was very narrow, and I didn't like that the seats were not padded. Otherwise had a great time and enjoyed our food!Vegetarian options: My friend said it was really good! There was rice, avocado, brussel sprouts and more.

Awesome place - fresh oysters and seafood…super accommodating staff, great service and fun laid back setting for a fun date night or meet up with friends.Live music and $2 oysters on Thursdays are a huge plus! Make a reservation because it’s a small spot.
