I visited this cafe recently and the place was pretty unappealing. Chairs were strewn all over the place. Spilled coffee and dirty dishes on the tables and milk station. Also the only employee working was sitting at a table, staring off into space. It took her a minute to notice that there were 2 people waiting in line to order… yikes.

The matcha in matcha latte is very light

Tried their orange blossom vanilla latte (hope I got that right) and it’s good. Wouldn’t go back for it because it’s not really my thing but I’ve been recommending it to people as it reminds me quite a lot of Starbucks. Particularly the white mocha syrup, it’s a good local alternative and a little cheaper.
The seating options in NAC make this such a good spot to study at and it’s not far from Rideau so very convenient. Would go and get a simple latte and sip through it but it’s nothing special otherwise.
The staff can be rude, aloof and make you feel unwelcome. I have never seen a customer being demanding or rude to the staff. Really weird, negative vibes!
But the place has a great view and fast internet access is a plus.

A really sweet and kind girl made ginger tea for my friends and me, which was really delicious. I'm also writing to apologize because during a conversation with her and someone else, I'm afraid I unintentionally said something that might have upset her. Although I apologized at that time, as it's been weighing on my mind, I want to apologize again for my thoughtless comment. The girl's extremely nice and generous nature made my inadvertent mistake even more regrettable.

I discovered this coffee shop while looking for a good place to work. I must say, nothing impressed me—not even the chairs or seating. In fact, for the first time ever, I couldn’t finish my Americano because the taste was off-putting. On a positive note, the staff are friendly and respectful.
