It closed for good i believe, there are signs of space for rent in the windows and the interior gutted in wake of a new tenant

Fat Albert's is great for hanging out after work for some drinks and food. The pizza is great, especially the double double ? if you like some additional fun join for karaoke night Fridays from 6-9pm. Friendly and fun staff, always a great experience to go to the place!

Friday afternoon: Terse staff, ate a disappointing and lackluster cold sub. Subway around the corner would be a better option.

Place is going down hill...I love fat Albert's but more often than not the bread is not very fresh...and I mean barely eatable.

Tried to contact this place directly.. They wouldn't answer their phone and both emails listed on the website do not work so I guess I will write this publicly. Ordered a turkey sub through ritual, was missing some of the toppings I asked for. The turkey was not worth the price. Figured okay not a big deal, maybe it was a one time thing. Came back and ordered spaghetti with garlic bread, took it back to my office and realized they didn't give me the garlic bread! Also the tomato sauce for the spaghetti tasted canned. I used to go to the one on bank but that closed and I was happy to see a fat alberts in downtown next to my work, but I have been disappointed.

Dec 12th 2019 at 12:30PM - Stood at the counter trying to order a Sandwich to go. Waited 8 minutes at the cash before anyone approached me. The cashier asked me why I was standing at the cash, "I've been waiting to order a sandwhich to go". The cashier's response was rude, he claimed he had asked me what I wanted when I walked in however this was the first time anyone had talked to me. I hate poor customer service like this so I simply walked out. I will not frequent this location of Fat Albert's again.

Came for lunch and ordered their 12 inch steak & turkey sub. The sub had maybe 3 slices of cold-cut turkey, and 2-3 slices of deli "beef". Decidedly not steak on this steak sandwich. The whole thing was incredibly dry, even with mayo added. Also, for a $13 sandwich, I expected at least some shaved steak and/or real turkey on there, not a underwhelming amount of cold meat, for a "hot sub".

Fat Alberts is a completely underrated Ottawa Chain. They've been around for decades, and if you try their pizza, and unique subs, you'll understand why.

Fresh, warm, perfectly seasoned, Fat Albert's hot subs are perhaps the best in town. My only issue is that they could have more meat/toppings as many others have mentioned.

We went there today, ordered their Large 5 pizza asked for well done and received it undercooked. Good deals on pints

I have been eating at Fat Albert's for over 40 years and have never had a disappointing meal.....until today. Recently started a job downtown and I noticed that there was a Fat Albert's / Ralphs nearby. Today I decided to head down and pick up my favourite Steak Substantial. When I got back to the office, , it was disappointing from the first bite. The meat was dry and it was not enjoyable in the mouth. I did not get the same flavours of spices and oils except for two bites. The brown lettuce in the sandwich certainly did not help.
