Excellent service and food. Top notch. A couple of minor issues. The wine list was extensive, but one or two under $100, and rapidly increased to over $500. I didn't know there was so many rich people in Ottawa. The rib steak was excellent. But I've also had excellent steak for less than $150 for 2. It's a bit much. I'd go back I think - but not for the rib steak. LOL

This is one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Servers were knowledgeable and friendly, with great menu recommendations and cocktail/wine pairings. The food was incredible. Such great flavour profiles and fresh ingredients. Perfectly curated combinations that will leave a lasting impression. Hands down the best meal we have had in Ottawa.

Fantastic food but absolutely horrible service - took 30 min to just get drinks. The waiter seemed confused when we asked to order appetizers and said we could only order everything together and disappeared for another 1/2 hour. The acoustics (brick walls) means you’re literally shouting to hear people at the same table and I left with a headache. Ultimately needs a lot of work to make this an enjoyable experience which is a shame because the food is very good. UPDATE: The owner asked me to follow-up via email after this post (which I did multiple times with no response). That seems to also say a lot.

Food was great, and service was even better. Best service i’ve ever had in 5-7 years. The deer tartare was so good and was better than most other tartare i’ve had recently. The matcha mousse was also phenomenal. They even put my coat on for me when we left.

What an awesome spot with a great vibe! The decor and music make for a great night out with friends and would be perfect for an 'after business day' drink with a small bite to eat or big meal. The food and drinks were incredible! The staff were so personable and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend you add Fauna to your list of spots for a great night out.

First visit...and it willl not be the last. Excellent food. Early evening reservation allowed for a nice atmosphere to enjoy the meal. Crab appetizer is unbelievably tasty! All the food was great. Definitely high energy mid evening which made conversation a little difficult. Nonetheless, a great spot and worth a return. Thank you!

We had the soft shell crab and endive salad as appetizers. For the mains we had the spaghetti, smoked duck breast and dry aged PEI rib eye steak. I have to say it blew me away! The crab was deep fried, but still light somehow, very tender with a wonderful sauce on the side. The salad was ok in my opinion. The spaghetti was cooked in a really nice cream sauce with lots of truffles on top. The flavor combination was great. The duck was very very good, and the mushrooms it came with are like none I've ever tasted, beautiful texture, cooked to perfection. But even better was the steak. My God that steak is glorious 🤩! The cornbread it came with was perfectly moist, not dry at all with a really nice herb infused butter. Even the kale the steak came with tasted good, and kale is usually bitter..not this one. If you are visiting Ottawa, I highly reccomend Fauna as it currently sits as my best resturant in town.
