Food and cocktails were very good. Service was excellent, with attentive, but never intrusive staff. The restaurant is a bit tightly packed and noisier than I like, but honestly, it didn't detract from the overall experience. All-in-all a lovely way t spend a birthday dinner.

Usually don’t dine at high-end expensive restaurants but a colleague made resos and wanted to go. Atmosphere was dark and moody. My negroni was great, the bottle of wine was delicious and the meal was very good too. I can’t say anything bad about anything I ate, it was all very delicious. It’s just expensive!

Fauna is one of our favorite restaurants to go to in Ottawa! EVERYTHING about it is superb! The food: full of flavor in a complex yet so palatable way, makes one smile with every bite :). The ambiance is so warm and welcoming, I love the artwork and the light fixtures; great sense of design. And the people who work there incredibly attentive, and friendly; no matter how busy the place is. In other words, there are only good things to say about Fauna! One more word though: YUM!!!

I’ve been to Fauna several times. This past weekend, we hosted my sister’s wedding reception dinner. In intimate group of 17 family and friends. Ken was quick & responsive at answering questions, making the planning easy. The private space next to the wine cellar was exactly what we needed (privacy, a screen, music). The four-course meal was amazing; food and drinks are always great here. We appreciate the set-up of the menu where our guests can select their own options. My 7-year-old enjoyed her soup (lobster bisque) and main (duck), that says a lot. Thank you to the whole team for making the night a seamless success.

Outstanding in every way; staff was engaging, professional and super knowledgeable and helpful. Cocktails and food were excellent and the atmosphere was perfect, lively yet not too loud. It was our second time here and we came all the way from New Hampshire to experience it again.
A cold winter night during ‘dead week’ between Christmas and New Year’s found us in this warm and welcoming restaurant. The service was personal, attentive and warm; the food outstanding! Oysters in December gave me some hesitation, but they were fresh from PEI that morning. We finished with a pappardelle in ragu and had several expertly prepared bits in between. The fact that the restaurant was full at 7pm on a Tuesday night suggests a well earned reputation.

My partner and I rented the wine cellar space for a family dinner and we were beyond happy with the experience! Ken was responsive and great with coordinating details, the space was private and fit our party of 17, Sydney our waitress was excellent, and the food was delicious. I'm still thinking about the trout. We're excited to come back!

We enjoyed our meal overall. The food was fresh, interesting and well presented. It was a shame that they could not provide bread with the meal. The desserts were excellent. The restaurant itself was nice but the noise level was far too high to have a conversation without some strain. The food was on the pricey side and would have expected more for $100 each. So a solid 8/10.
