What I really love about Fil’s Diner isn’t just the food or the drinks, though those are amazing too, it’s the way the place makes you feel the moment you walk in. There’s this warmth to the atmosphere, like it quietly welcomes you in and tells you to just slow down for a bit.
The retro vibe is such a treat—I’m definitely biased toward anything vintage, so I loved taking it all in. Everything from the décor to the little details around the diner makes it feel cozy, fun, and kind of timeless.
The staff are wonderful. They’re kind and attentive, but they don’t force small talk or make you feel rushed. The food comes out quickly, but it still feels like it’s made with care. It’s that perfect balance where you feel looked after but also free to just enjoy yourself.
Honestly, every time I go there, I end up feeling happier than when I came in. Fil’s Diner isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to pause, to feel comfortable, and to enjoy a little moment of calm in the middle of the day. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again.

It's a greesy spoon, so you get what you'd expect. Not to say they couldn't make some small efforts to improve. Get rid of the flies, take the butter out of the fridge in the morning so it's possible to spread it, French toast that's better than a thin layer of egg on some bread. Etc. but there's a certain charm to this old bird.
