Great space with great selection of craft brew. We visited this spot as we were wanting a good experience with a quiet atmosphere. It is out of the Byward area so a bit more conducive to having conversation without excess noise from other patrons.

First day of the new menu and everything was scrumptious. We sampled fries, scotch egg, fried cauliflower, Nashville chicken and beet ravioli. All food and all beers were hits.

The menu proposes a few delicious options, and everything we tried was perfect and the portions were good.

Great space, nice beers. I live in the neighborhood and been here many times and unfortunately, service is consistently lacking. I feel like a nuisance rather than a customer, servers dropping off items walking away despite calling after them for water/cutlery, so need to get up to ask. It never bothered me enough until my most recent experience. When I got the bill I noticed they charged me $1 more than what is listed on the menu. When I pointed it to the server she just said it’s a mistake. I didn’t ask her to fix it (she didn’t offer either), I just wanted to leave. It was only a dollar so I wasn’t too annoyed I just suggested to flag it because the next person might not be so understanding. Didn’t seem like she cared at all what I was saying.
I don’t need to be checked on every 10 minutes but I also don’t want to made to feel like a nuisance asking for basic things. Maybe that’s the mood of the restaurant and I just don’t get it.
