Fratelli’s is a must visit when I am in Kanata for Business! Absolutely love the Fish Soup, my favorite dish. The wait staff is by far the most attentive and friendly.
Pretty mediocre food and poor service both times we have visited. Fettucine Sila tasted like it had been sent through the dishwasher before landing on the table. Pizza was decent but the terrible service was the final straw for this over priced spot…hopefully won’t be back.

I love this place and ate one of the best pizza and pasta ever. Everybody should try it.

Great setting for date night or a private party! We had a table for 15 people upstairs and we could actually carry on a conversation without yelling!! The food is excellent (large portion of spaghetti and meatballs). We had a person with food allergies plus a vegetarian and they were both accommodated. Awesome service. The only negative: was paying $17 for a 'holiday cocktail' (see photo) which was really small and tasted watered down

I think their pasta came from a frozen package basted on taste. I ordered the gnocchi pomadoro. So saucy. So much leftover sauce once the little dough balls were gone. The Parm they spoon on your pasta seems to be from a bag and not freshly grated - you'll know the difference in taste and texture.
Service was great. Servers were attentive and kind but not like asking you anything more than what you'd like to drink and eat sort of hospitality. Atmosphere was nice. Dark, busy, comfortable booth seating, music, televisions for some reason.
Ordered the fried calamari, which I normally never do because it's always, always, always from frozen. Probably the better item to eat while compared to a main pasta dish this weekend for me. Fried food typically cannot fall flat because everyone likes fried food and it hides the lack of skill in food prep nicely right in front of you. Hearty portion size - good for sharing. Aioli included in a ramekin.
I don't think I will be back because of the cost, overall taste satisfaction of the main, as well as the generic overall experience. I'll stick to making my own gnocchi, opening a can of sauce, and opening a bottle of wine for less than $80 including tip just for one person.

I recently dined at Fratelli and while the experience was a mix of highs and lows, there were a few standout moments.
The salmon dish was absolutely exquisite—perfectly cooked with a delicate balance of flavors that left a lasting impression. It was easily the highlight of the meal.
On the other hand, the pizza was a bit of a letdown. It lacked the flair and flavor I expected, and overall, it felt quite boring. The crust was bland, and the toppings didn’t stand out, making it feel like something I could have easily made at home.
Service was another mixed aspect. While the waiter was friendly enough, I was disappointed that they didn’t offer us bread until after our main courses had arrived. It felt like a missed opportunity to enhance the dining experience, as a small gesture like offering bread early on would have been appreciated.
Overall, the restaurant has potential, especially with the fantastic salmon dish, but there’s definitely room for improvement in both the pizza and attentiveness to small details. I’d return, but I’ll likely stick to seafood next time.

I had the chance to try their carbonara and I can say it wasn’t authentic. It was dry and I can even see bits of scrambled eggs in the sauce. It still tasted decent but I was expecting a more authentic Italian experience here. The ambiance is still good, service is decent and I’m willing to try other menu items next time.

Amazing food. Super fresh and very flavourful. Love homemade pasta. The lightest fluffiest lasagna i have ever tasted. It was great and the desserts were delicious and homemade too. Our 1st time but we will be back.
