I just had an amazing experience at this restaurant. They were able to give my wife and I a private table completely separate from other dining on short notice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were very respectful of my pronouns and didn’t make any unnecessary assumptions. The prices were very fair for the environment and food. The food was so good I had to order multiple dishes because the menu was too amazing. They even have valet which was very convenient and they surprised me with a happy birthday dessert. I had an amazing experience here and I will be back very often forsure. I highly recommend this place to anyone that likes Italian food

The decor and service are better than the food. So disappointment, especially given the price of the main dishes. We had the seabass and the bistecca vitello. The protein was okay but the raw vegetables... Any home cook would have done better. Paying $270 for two is obviously excessive. A restaurant chain, like Boston Pizza or The Keg for example, offer superior quality cuisine.

AMAZING! In all the years we’ve lived in Ottawa and all the Italian Restaurants we’ve been to, we finally tried Giovanni’s. You have not experienced service, until you’ve been here, I was shocked! The food, the wine and the limoncello that we haven’t had since we were in Italy! Fernando you made our evening, we will be back and we will request to be seated in your area. 10 star service!

This is a very good Italian restaurant. I took the stracciatella soup which was served with a generous amount of parmesan cheese and eggs. The lasagna was perfectly cooked and filling, not overcooked and with a tasty tomato sauce. The Burrata dish was impeccable because it was fresh and soft. I liked the service a lot, as they were friendly and timely. The atmosphere is also very pleasant and lively. a must visit in terms of culinary foods once you are in Ottawa. Being in Little Italy is nice too.PS: If you go to Giovanni's, theres a great chance you might meet some members of the Ottawa hockey team!:)

Great service and atmosphere. Got the lobster ravioli and i might as well have eaten salt by the spoonful cause it was barely edible, and for the price its really unfortunate. The gnocchi was bland and everything else just tasted like an affordable italian restaurant.

Came here for my birthday and the service was terrible. The server "Tony" made a comment saying "I'm lots of fun and have lots of money" to a friend as well made another comment to a friend saying "that's all you're going to tip me?" I expected this place to be a better experience for my birthday but it really just brought my mood down and wasn't special at all. I waited 20mins for a drink and there wasn't even a birthday cake included in the dinner as "they don't do that", probably the most unprofessional experience I've had at a restaurant. Very disappointing. Food was mediocre as well and you get charged $4.5 for tap water in a bottle with their company name on it. Worst experience I've had at a restaurant.

Held a business dinner meeting with Giovanni's in their private dining room. I have to say that I was blown away by the quality and care of service. So attentive, yet warm and caring. One of our server's, named "Jam" was impeccable. Thank you again for making my dinner meeting a great success. I could not directly comment on the food since I presented but my guests thoroughly enjoyed.
