Its 2026. Only GF offering is the salad. Well meaning and kind but telling me thats its Italian food so they dont offer gluten free when you can get GF food for celiacs in just about every resto Italy is ill informed. I find this entire group of restaurants very behind the times in being inclusive for people with celiac disease. We canceled our reservation as a result and going to Ember in the Market instead.
Have always enjoyed this place. The food and atmosphere are really nice. I have gone back to the byward one multiple times. The Elgin one will always hold me back, because the last time I went there the server held my jacket hostage and legit went through the pockets found a document with my name on it and Instagram dm-d me to bring someone’s jacket back…..the entire time I was sitting eating food. I had to get up and grab it from someone’s arms. Like sorry to the person...
