I keep coming back because I love the egg rolls and because I have happy memories from my childhood coming here. Unfortunately the other dishes are hit and miss at best. The bbq spare ribs are often doused in more oil than sauce and the Chinese greens lacking in anything but onions and celery and over-salted. Me and husband went for lunch today one of the best restaurants in Ottawa highly recommended food was excellent service was great the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming will definitely be going back keep up the remarkable work
The restaurant has been around for 60 or more years so that’s commendable. I don’t know of another restaurant with that claim. Had the dinner for two which consisted mainly of egg rolls, BBQ (garlic) spare ribs, chop suey and chicken fried rice. Also either green or jasmine tea. All was very good, reasonably priced, the plum sauce seemed home made and all was delicious. The first big problem is the carpet on the stairs going down to the washrooms which is very old.
