I went with my foodie group to explore various flavours this new location has to offer. We were 15 that evening and had ordered a specialy prepared tasting menu. OMG this 6 week old dining room did not disappoint! We were served 7 courses of taste explosions. The chef came out for each course to give us an explanation and ask for our feedback. Half way through dinner we had already decided this place deserved a repeat. Of course everyone has personal favorites, however, the consensus was the most outstanding were sesame encrusted tuna tataki with a mushroom soy glaze, tempura fried shrimp with a spicy house aioli, and mini falafel.

The menu offers a good mix of fish, beef and vegetarian. Any palate would be happy to experiment! And the costs are reasonable.

I have lived in Westboro for 13 years and watched 5 different restaurants fill this interesting people watching location, not survive.

The dining room has a European patio feel to it so whether you want to stop in for a nice glass of wine or dinner, it will accommodate. If you want to experience a party in your mouth, this is a must go.

Really surprised by the good reviews, this was not a good dining experience.

We started with one cocktail and one mocktail. The mocktail was very good, but the cocktail was missing the garnishes that were listed on the menu.

To eat we ordered off the happy hour menu. The oysters were fine. One was shucked incorrectly and one had shell in it and the mignonette was a huge letdown. The tuna tataki relies too heavily on soy sauce being it’s only flavour. The mezze platter is nothing to write home about. The hummus was overly lemony and not very smooth. The labneh and falafel were fine, but not terribly exciting. The muhammara was the best thing we ate all night.

We made the mistake of ordering the cannolis for dessert. They were truly terrible. The shells were dry and had a cardboard taste. The filling was bland and gritty. Very disappointing.

Unfortunately, the service was quite inattentive. Our water glasses were empty for much of the evening and it was a struggle to make eye contact with servers to order more food.

For the price ($160 for the two of us!) you can have a much better evening somewhere else.

We came here with a group of girls to celebrate a birthday, and it honestly couldn’t have been a more perfect night. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt fun, stylish, and welcoming—exactly what you want for a special occasion.

The staff was very attentive without ever feeling rushed, and they made the birthday girl feel extra special from start to finish. Our server gave great recommendations, checked in at just the right times.

I had ordered the lamb on risotto - the dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Everyone had enjoyed all their dishes too. The cocktails were gorgeous and delicious, too—definitely Instagram-worthy!

What really made the night memorable was how easy and comfortable everything felt. We laughed, we toasted, and the restaurant’s vibe made the whole experience feel elevated but still relaxed. We also ppreciated that we were allowed to bring in a birthday cake.

If you're planning a birthday dinner, a girls’ night out, or just want a place that makes any occasion feel special, this spot is a must. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. 💕🎉

Just had breakfast. The menu was well versed with delicious options and the prices were very reasonable. The service was spot on. I looked at the rest of the menu real quick and I'm looking foward to trying goldfinch again for dinner or lunch.

Personally had a really weird experience at Goldfinch a few weeks ago that my group of four couldn’t help but laugh about. Our server was lovely and the only redeeming part of our experience. She let us know that they were understaffed that night, and there may be some delays, which we totally understood. We were clear that there was a nut allergy at our table and asked for the burrata, without the pesto (the only part that specified nuts in the description). We received a burrata, but the kitchen ignored our request and added pesto. No problem, mistakes happen. We sent it back. Second time, we get a burrata, no pesto, but a bunch of random nuts sprinkled on top. Not sure how that happened when we were clear there was an allergy. So we had to ask for a third time for a burrata and hold all the toppings this time. It was totally not okay. By the time it arrived, we were done our meal.

My $17 salad was two pieces of lettuce, and the tortellini costs $3 per noodle. Honestly I didn’t know that it was just Zak’s diner rebranded or I wouldn’t have gone. Goldfinch has the price of a nice night out, but the same quality and experience of a diner.

The atmosphere here is really nice, and our server was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was not good at all, which was very disappointing. We ordered the oysters, which had pieces of shell in them; the grilled Caesar salad, which came without dressing and was overpowered by the charred lettuce; and the oven-roasted chicken, whose skin was rock hard. It ended up being the best part of the meal, but that doesn’t say much considering the overall quality. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for a meal, but it is a great spot to grab drinks and enjoy the ambiance.
